Jack nodded and decided that this was probably a good idea. It was then she tip-toed herself up and kissed him on the cheek. The first reaction in his mind was one of a morbidly shocked fool. As a few seconds passed, he collected himself and then looked over at her. With a brow raise, he gave her a questioning, almost scolding but not quite, glance and then smirked just slightly..
Squeezing her fingers with his was the first thing he had ever done that was affectionate and completely unnecessary. He had shown her compassion before, but not like this. Although it had gone entirely unnoticed by Jack, his body had actually reacted pleasantly to her.
Jack got himself a simple chocolate flavor for ice cream. He was not the type to eat it all himself, but he figured that she might go for his if she was interested in having more. When she sat down, he sat down with her. Ignoring everyone around them, he took the ice cream he had and put it to her eye gently. The one thing he did not want to see was her in pain right now. Not like this.

Alyce smiled as his genuine care and affection towards her. It was unexpected, all things considering. But it was welcome for sure. It just continued her misconceptions that he may someday love her. She gently pushed away his ice cream from her eye, trying not to offend him.
"It's okay. I'll be fine. Don't worry about me," she whispered, cuddling up beside him and taking another bite of the sweet strawberry flavored treat. And then stealing a bite of his, giggling softly. She then took a spoonful of hers and slid it into his mouth. "There, even," she said with a painful smile.
She then dipped her finger into her ice cream and covered it a bit of melted ice cream, and then poked him in the nose with said finger. She quickly licked it off before he could respond, giggling softly.

"I do worry about you though, you know." Jack sighed softly as she pushed the ice cream away from her eye. He was just about to shake his head when she stole a bit of his ice cream. With a raised brow, he went to protest only to have her spoon shoved into his mouth with strawberry dip'n'dots, which he mulled over his taste buds for a few moments before swallowing them with a smirk.
"You.. , you're an interesting girl." Shaking his head now, Jack laughed just a bit. She then wiped melted ice cream on his nose and he shivered at the cold feeling. Then she moved in and licked it off of his nose. Another shiver passed through him, but this time it was definitely not from the cold. The way she acted was if she was his girlfriend. Though he could understand the perceived notion, it was not what he had originally intended.
Scrunching up his nose for a minute, he narrowed his eyes on her and then laughed again. She was a handful, that was sure, but he needed to take care of her and teach her as much as he trained her and battered her. He would have to if she was going to stick around. It would be clear if she did something wrong that he would react to it, but she had done nothing wrong, at least nothing conventional. She was being rather playful, which was odd to him, but it was understandable that she was trying to rationalize what was going on to feel safe and comfortable.

Alyce was aware he didn't feel the same for her as she did for him. But she couldn't help but treat the day like a date. Despite the fact that she was sure she looked like a human punching bag. But his words betrayed his true evil side and for a second, she questioned if he was evil in any way at all.
But when she looked into his eyes and really looked, she realized the caring wasn't the type she was hoping for. More like the way she'd cared for the baby blue jay she'd raised as a child. She took pity on it and took care of it. That was all.
"I forgot for a second that you don't like me and I'm not yours nor you mine," she whispered, smiling sadly. She knew she had ruined a bit of the mood, but she couldn't help it. Taking another bite of her ice cream, she leaned back against the bench, closing her eyes and leaning her head back.
"Thank you," she whispered.

Something in him cringed slightly when she looked at him the way she did. Jack would have to remember to be more mindful of the areas that he attacked. Of course, he rationalized, that he was only doing this to make sure that no one else could do it to her. If her hurt her, she would get stronger and tougher. She would hurt someone before they hurt her. That was the theory, anyway.
His eyes were not exactly filled with the most loving look ever, but there was certainly something there. Pity, indeed, was there, but there was something else. Perhaps it was a slight admiration or even pride in the young girl. Maybe she could push past that extremely rough outer shell that Jack had to see the real person on the inside. The specs of humanity that were still left.
"That's not exactly true, you know." Jack turned his head to the side and let out a light sigh. He did like her. Somewhat. She was strong and she was his. She was also sexy. She was also his. No matter what she said from that point onward, she was his. She belonged to him. Perhaps one day he would be relatively close to being hers, but for now he was quite happy being independent.
Jack paused for a moment to look at her and then shook his head, "You're welcome."

Alyce looked at her ice cream. It was melting and no longer looked as appetizing as it had. She watched it for a while, trying to think of what exactly to say to him. Her stomach growled loudly, egging her to eat the ice cream, as she hadn't actually eaten in a while. But she tossed it away and licked the spoon for a second before tossing that in the nearby can as well.
"I know you'd never us the 'c' word with us. And not cunt. Couple. Because I'm your toy. I belong to you, not the other way around. You're going to use me until I break or bend. And I don't know if it makes me weak or strong that I'm still here," she responded. It was wise in it's own way, her little omission. But she couldn't bring herself to look at him in the eyes so she closed them. Her fingers ran over her bruises on her arms again, silently counting them as she brought her knees to her chest.

Jack shuddered at the use of the word Couple and it left a tingly feeling in him that he was not entirely comfortable with it. Still, he could tell that she was bothered by this. She was getting more emotionally unstable with every passing moment. Something needed to be done or she was going to lose it and that would cost him greatly.
"I chose you." Jack said as he glanced at her and watched her carefully, "I think you can handle it. I want you to handle it. After we're done shopping, we're going home so you can rest. Relax." He glanced to the side, "And you're not a toy. One day you'll be my right hand. I'll have to trust you and love you as much as I trust and love myself. I hope you can handle that." The last part was whispered out.
The truth of the matter was that Jack did not love himself at all, but there was a possibility that the humanity within him could love her. The rest of him could accept her and trust her.. if she was trained well. That remained to be seen.

Alyce opened her eyes as he whispered to her. The use of the words love and trust seemed almost funny to her. She knew he was never going to do either of those, but the fact that he was making the effort of saying he would was nice, and made her smile softly.
She rolled over and laid her head down in his lap, despite the looks they were getting from people who passed by. "Everything hurts. So much. I don't know if I can do this, Jack," she whispered. Every muscle in her body ached from the abuse it had sustained. From the rape and blunt force he had unleashed on her tiny frame. She felt broken in several ways, like she needed to hide in a closet. And suddenly, she formulated a plan.
"I need to go to the bathroom," she said quietly, rising from her seat without little more explanation and crossed the food court towards the public restrooms. She opened the door and stood in front of the mirror for a bit, looking at her bruises, tears welling up in her eyes. Then she turned and went into a stall, standing on the toilet before pulling herself up on one of the stall's walls. She didn't look down, ignoring another young woman who clearly noticed her as she slipped away by means of a ceiling tile into the low ceiling over the restroom. She then began to crawl, not exactly sure where to go or what to do.
Meanwhile, the young lady whom had just witnessed Alyce's wiggle work ran over to the mall security, just a few feet from Jack. If he listened hard, it would probably be obvious what she was telling them about the young woman whom climbed into the ceiling.

There was no reason to flinch right now, even though they were really close in a public place and she was being so affectionate. He did not even pull away as she laid her head in his lap. Certainly even he could see the bruises and the pain he had inflicted in her. "Don't worry. We'll get you home and you can rest." He frowned slightly. Sometimes he was sadistic and loved seeing the pain he caused others, but within this girl it was just a little different. To hurt this girl he would have to start off becoming a masochist. That meant..crap.
"Ahaha! You bumbling idiot! You LIKE her!" The voice that he was so familiar with decided to chime in after she went to the bathroom. It growled and hissed at him for a moment before laughing maniacally once more. That was the one thing Jack actually really hated about the voice. It was so condescending towards him all the time.
When Jack overheard what was going on, he slapped his forehead with his hand and let out a deep sigh. The girl was trying to run? Well, didn't that beat all. He had her pegged as the type that wouldn't run away now, but he was obviously wrong. For just a split second he wondered what she was going to do and then he moved out of sight, quickly taking off to find a vent.
He took a deep breath and climbed into a ventilation shaft that he found in one of the janitor's closets. Another breath told him exactly where she was. The fortunate thing was that he moved a hell of a lot faster than any of the cops could even dare to dream of. Finding her was not a problem, except that he knew he'd have to make a little noise to get to her. Punching through the metal, he dropped through and caught the girl off guard.
"Now then." Jack growled and stared her down, quite angry. It was clear that he was beginning to put some faith in her. "You've betrayed my trust in you. Any idea what that means?" His anger flared and his fists clenched. Thought after thought spilled into his brain now, the mind trying to decipher what kind of punishment would be best for her.

Alyce screamed as he crashed in on her. The event was startling, and she began to scoot away from him as he came towards her. When he spoke, his mouth seemed to be twisted cruelly as he spoke.
And then the word punishment came up. Immediately she covered her face with her bruise covered arms and closed her eyes. A single tear that had welled up while she had been staring at herself in the bathroom ran down her dusty cheek. She pulled her hat down over her face, hoping he would be easier on her this time. She didn't know what she was thinking trying to get away. There was no away. And a part of her felt awful for trying to get away. She loved him. But she also feared him. And that had won out this time.
She was shaking as she layed there and waited for her punishment. "Please," she whispered.
