Night had crept in slowly, darkness covering the sky like a blanket of ill intention and evil. That was what Evie was starting to see the world as on the whole really. She still couldn't completely come to terms with all this and really just wished she'd wake up, warm and safe and in the arms of her lover, knowing it was all a nightmare. Well either way, it was a nightmare. Evie didn't know the ropes of this game in the technical sense of the word. She was getting there with the constant training. When you train as much as she had been, it was impossible to NOT pick things up. Her watcher was some what of a... she didn't want to say Nazi.. Actually no, she really did!! Evie was scheduled to the eyeballs, like literally. Evie sat in the graveyard, she was by herself waiting for her watcher to come meet her. He was supposed to be here at least half an hour ago, him being late was not normal in the slightest. Evie knew her guy was sat at home and she also knew that when she was patrolling he tended to worry so Evie slipped her little phone out of her pocket. She started writing out a text, placing her stake behind her onto a gravestone behind her that she was kindly using as a foot rest. Gethin Jones died in 1823 and she figured he'd rested in peace long enough. Evie was half way through her text when she heard a crunching behind her. Her head turned quickly in the direction of the sound, her black curls following the movement of her head. "Mr Potts?? Hello?? Christopher?!" She had a bad feeling about it yet for some reason stepped towards the noise slowly, her feet seemed to move effortlessly and silently off the floor, one of the many things Christopher Potts had taught her in the last month. Evie stepped behind a row of bushes to reveal a surprise she didn't want to see. Her watcher, laid there, dead, with some oh so familiar holes in his neck. Evie didn't know what to do, she wanted to help him but had a feeling he was beyond help and that what he'd want her to do right now was to use what he'd taught her and to get out there alive. Evie turned and walked back towards her stuff and the stake she'd left, but arrived to find nothing in sight. Her heart sank rapidly and Evie's eyes panned the area. She couldn't see anything but had the most horrible feeling someone or something could see her. Evie scrapped her first text and wrote one out to Riley that would no doubt freak him but get him here sooner. "SOS!! BRING STAKES AND WHATEVER YOU CAN FIND!" She didn't know what to do for the best. She wanted to hide behind a tombstone and wrap her arms around herself but she knew she couldn't she had to be on the alert. It wasn't far from her and Riley's house to here but the wait was already starting to feel endless.

It was kind of weird to Riley sitting home alone at night. Evie had recently found out she is a vampire slayer and that vampire exist, and well he was a little skeptical still seeing as well it was a lot to process really. Making him wonder what else is out there and if he really wants to know kind of thing. Still didn’t stop him from watching horror movies thought. He still did despite the fact of her now being a vampire slayer. He was sat their on the couch watching one now. It was what he does most nights now seeing as she is out really late that and sometimes he is asleep before she gets in or he goes out to parties too. Luckily he wasn’t out at one now..
His phone buzzed, and it was a text message saying ‘sos bring the stakes and whatever else he could find.’ he started running rapid threw the house looking for things and shoving them into the bag to get it to Evie quickly and he was breaking like mad. He was dressed in a shirt and boxers, and tossed his shoes on and grabbed his keys and was running out the door. He went to get into the car when he realized it was a bit drafty, and he was just wearing his boxers “Shit.” he muttered and had to run back in and throw some pants on. Why didn’t he realize he didn’t have pants on when he put on his shoes? It was probably due to the fact that he was worried and wondered what if she is dead. What if something killed her and he was too late?
He hoped into his baby and drove to the graveyard, how lucky they lived a reasonable distance away from it. He pulled the bag out of the trunk and a flash light and headed into the graveyard a bag on his back, a gun tucked into the back of his pants. Even if she hates them he has some now. It may not kill the undead, but could hurt them right? He began to search for her... “Evie where are you?” he called as he walked threw he graveyard cautiously, waiting for her to come out or something to pop out and kill him. Was she already dead? It probably wasn't the best idea for him to be calling for her threw the graveyard and whatever was out here was probably hearing him and would attack right? Wasn't the smartest idea in the book.
He had heard snapping in a distant and turned to see what it was, but no one was there and he turned the light in that direction, and looked again still nothing. He had pulled out the gun which may not be a good idea too seeing as well wouldn't gun shots draw attention. He had taken to wearing his cross necklace and had it blessed and dipped in holy water. Yeah he was trying to be prepared but it was a little much. Riley had backed up a little and felt some bushes prick him in the back and thought well it could be just the wind rustling these, but where was Evie? His heart began to race all the more because he had not seen her yet.
Suddenly he was tackled onto the ground by some pretty looking girl, the gun tossed to the ground and the flash light too. She was trying to play the helpless victim and told him something was chasing her, and they both got up and he actually believed her. Dumb move on his part right? Yup. Her face then turned all deformed and tried to bite him, and he was doing his best to try to keep them teeth away from him hitting her in the face. “ I am not going to be your dinner you psychopath.” He had to hit her and he hated hitting woman, but this wasn't a woman anymore. So he had to remember that, and hoped this little scuffle drew Evie out if she was alive.

The wait for Riley really did seem never ending. Evie KNEW she was being watched but she also knew that whoever the hell it was, was waiting and probably enjoying watching Evie sweat. Part of her was wondering why they were waiting though, she was totally and utterly defenceless. Basically, she might as well be fast food. After a while of waiting, Evie heard her name called through the graveyard. She didn't call to him, if she came towards her before she was near him he was in big trouble, however Evie did run as fast as her little legs could carry her. Evie hadn't heard Riley call again but she knew she'd KNOW if something happened to him. Clearing a corner, Evie could half hear a scruffle and Riley telling someone that he wasn't going to be dinner. She freaked and knew something must have found him. She ran towards him just as the thing lashed out at him, throwing him back a bit and giving Evie the chance to cut swiftly into the gap between them. She grinned at the bitch. "Hi... He's mine...!" She said, punching the vampire in the face. There was something about knowing the evil bitch touched her man that gave Evie extra feist to beat the crap outta her. Evie laid into her, getting a through knocks to the face and body but blocking most and getting a few good ones in herself. "You okay baby?" She asked as she continued to beat this woman to a bloody pulp. She then turned, her hand held towards Riley, waiting for a stake before turning and swiftly placing it through the chicks chest and watching her turn to dust before picking up Riley's stuff. The was a quiet clicking as Evie turned off the torch and held the gun out with a questioning look. "Guns? Really? What you got in the bag?" She asked, looking through it and finding her crossbow. SCORE! It was a tricky thing to get used to but if he thought he could aim a gun then this wouldn't be much harder. She loaded it and held it out towards him, the arrow pointing towards the floor as she leaned up to kiss him. As their lips met, Evie heard voices behind them. 'Awww well isn't that sweet.' Evie turned, holding her hands over Riley's and spotting at 5 vamps in front of them and one big guy. 'What's this? Hiding behind your woman? Come on surely you can do better than that... SHOW SOME BALLS!' Clearly Riley was trying to be taunted into fighting and more clearly than that, they didn't want her watcher to be the only one of her allies they killed tonight. Evie made sure Riley had hold of the crossbow with one hand, using a hand to take his and move it away from the weapon but guide it to 'teach' him how to use the crossbow. It was a simple pull back into a click and shoot but she didn't want him at risk any more than she had to be. She was starting to feel awful for dragging him out here but without him she'd more than likely be dead. "Slight miscalculation there bud i mean.... He is hiding behind me but... At least..." Evie moved his hand onto the cross bow and guiding it over the arrow to click it into place. The click was virtually silent, something you could feel more than hear. With a swift move to the side Evie's mouth continued with "...he can do this!" and gave Riley a chance to shoot. Before she knew it she came under fire by two of the four vampires. She was starting to get the feeling there were some kind of ranks amongst this gang because as soon as she'd dusted the first two, the second two came at her. It was like they waited when they knew if the four of them went for her at once they could have had her. But the second 'lot' was stronger than the first, considerably so. Between the two of them they grabbed her arms. She had this horrible feeling like Riley was going to try and fight but at the same time she knew he might as well chop HIMSELF to pieces and call himself dog meat if he was going to do that. Evie couldn't kill these guys, she hadn't even got a hit in yet. Arms both being held in opposite directions tight, Evie's eyes went to Riley, then the bag and then she mouthed 'One... Two...' and with three one of her leg's wrapped around one of the guys holding her, kicking at the back of his knee's to make him buckle and moving to punch the other guy as the grip on one arm loosened . She was free but she was sure it wasn't for long so she ran, counting on Riley to grab her bag and taking his hand and leading him away as fast as their legs would carry them. Evie knew exactly where to go, a safe place that she was very much hoping no one else knew about. Coming to the entrance of a jumbo mausoleum, Evie leaned forward and pushed the door, pushing it forward then sideways. It was the trick to the door and so far everyone else had just assumed it was sealed. She ushered Riley in before following and sliding the door shut. It was full of cobwebs and not particularly nice but... It was better than being surrounded by vampires. She'd wrapped her arms around him for a moment, not caring about the pitch black, just holding him and taking him in. She then stuck her hand in his pocket and found his cigarette lighter and went around lighting all the candles around them. E Let it never be said Everton Brett didn't prepare, right now she certainly had. It was her family's burial place, that's how she knew the trick to the door and she'd always known there could be a time she'd need a safe place. She didn't think Riley would ever be stuck here with her though. Once the place was lit nicely, Evie went back to Riley, stroking his face and looking up into his eyes. "You doing okay?"

He had been so stupid to think that maybe just maybe this girl needed help like Evie had you know maybe she had been as slayer to or some helpless girl being chased on her travels home and into the graveyard. It was a stupid mistake he had made since she was now trying to make him dinner. Hell no he isn't going to be some psychos dinner. It was amazing really how fast their lives have changed and new doors that have opened up since Evie had been a slayer. He was lucky he hadn't faced problems like this before with being the gentlemen that he is. Everything he knew was changing and he had to be more aware of his surrounding and people. Could one of his friends be a creature of the night and him not even know it?
Riley really did hate to have to hit a woman, but she wasn't a woman anymore, but some twisted animal out for blood and it was his she had wanted and keep trying to bite him and suck him of his blood. She had scratched him in a few places and was bleeding which probably gave her the extra motive to want to attack the smell of human blood. It wasn't before long that Evie had came out of her hiding and was beating this thing senseless asking him if he was okay, but he was in like a dazed shocked kind of awww. Kind of in a dumb founded state of mind. This all was still shocking to him would he ever get over it? It was kinda sexy thought watching his girl beat the shit out of this woman that tried to make him dinner. Who wouldn't love that? " Huh? What" he muttered out in shock.
After a moment he had shook it off and gave Evie what she had called him for a stake. It is what she needed to kill them right? He gave it to her and moments later she staked the woman and she turned to dusk before his eyes. " Damn Vampires." he said under his breath. She had picked up his stuff and looked at a the gun, and asked him what else he had in the bag.. " Yes, Guns. I thought maybe if they attacked me it would slow them down or hurt em a little. I had the bullets dipped in holy water, but well I guess it didn't do me much good." he said with a small shrug trying to be prepared and all. "I brought whatever else I could find." They really needed to make an emergency bag. Riley had been taking some shooting lessons it seems to be a good stress reliever.
Evie had rummaged threw the bag and found her cross bow and loaded it up and kissed him, and he only returned the kiss, but that was soon interrupted. Damn them vampires and their bad timing. He had thought to himself and one was taunting him, and that really didn’t help him now did it, because Riley does have a bad temper. He growled under his breath listening to what Evie was saying, getting the crossbow ready. He would need to do more research on vampires and ways to make them pay. When she moved her shoot at one of the vampires aiming right for the heart. He did know that much, but there had to be other ways to kill them right? Evie had been rushed by a few of the vampires, and staked them easily, but the next too were much more then she could handle and gave him the one , two , three to get the bag and run when she got free she took him by the hand and they were running threw the graveyard till they ended up at some kind of of mausoleum.
There had been a trick to the door, and he had been ushered in. What a night this was. He didn’t see that name, but wondered how he knew the trick to this. He had dropped the bag on the ground, and she had held him tight hugging him in the pitch dark before sticking her hands in his pockets and rummaging threw for his lighter, but he had to make a cheeky comment to that. " Hey now is not the time to be getting fresh with me Missy." he had teased. She had then lit the candles that was in the place and the place was slowly becoming more and more lit. She was asking him if he was okay. "Yeah, I think so maybe a few scratches. I will be okay. I think." he had told her, before sitting down somewhere. "Where are we? he asked her, unsure of where they were himself and waited for her to answer." What are we going to do? he didn’t think they were going to give up that easy...

The candles flickered gently as they dimly lit the room. The wall presented visions of the flames bouncing and dancing. Evie felt so bad that she'd got Riley involved in her fight. She didn't want him to get hurt, not ever and that was why she wanted to keep him away from all this slayer stuff. No matter how tough he was and how much of a temper he had, he wasn't strong enough to protect himself, of course she wouldn't tell him that but it was the truth. She'd never had to be protective of him, she'd always cared and she'd never liked when anyone gave him shit but this was different. She felt that she had to look after him and though this was a new feeling, she liked it. Riley told a concerned Evie that he was fine, just a few scratches. He'd taken a seat and she'd been stroking his face gently and fussing him. He had asked where they were. "This is my family's burial place... My dads granddad is buried over there." She said as she ran her fingers through her baby's hair. Then Riley had asked what they were going to do. "I don't know... I've hurt my arm and those guys were way stronger than I was ready for... If we go out there we could be toast." Evie had kissed him and headed to the bag of weapons, having a nosey through. She'd been freaking and pulled as many stakes close to her as possible. Evie then moved back to him. There was a large 'coffin', which evie knew didn't contain a body, in the middle of the room and Riley was sat on the edge so Evie popped herself onto it and crossed her legs, facing his back. "When did everything turn to shit?" She asked sighing and placing her head in her hands.

He had asked her where they were as she ran her fingers threw his hair and was told how this was her families and how her grandfather was buried over there. So here they were held up in some family mausoleum of her families and vampires out and about. Life was changing daily and it was getting hairier by the minute. It really was a lot to process and things like this were things he had to be prepared for now. He had to learn and get ready otherwise her watcher maybe right that he is a liability to her and would get her or himself killed. The man took him aside and told Riley that before, but he never ever told Evie about that. How could he? Riley half thought the man would have loved it if they called it a quits and she had more time for 'slayer stuff' and not family stuff. What are these girls supposed to do give up their whole lives to carry this burden around?
Riley knows he doesn't stand a chance against vampires . He maybe be stubborn and gotten himself into a lot of fights and may have won some of them, but this these things he knows he can't win and it was like he was a sitting duck and he hated that feeling. It sucked! Feeling helpless and not being able to do anything sucks. Oh how he wished he could get his hands on some dynamite and shove it up their asses and blow em up like a land mind, but he wouldn't get close enough to do so...he couldn't do anything really. So they just had to sit and wait or something. He had asked her what they were going to do and she didn't know. Told him how she hurt her arm fighting those dudes and they were stronger then she thought and was ready for. "Yeah, and where the hell did they come from it was like an ambush or something." He said with a shake of the head, and was sitting on some empty casket or well he didn't know it was empty. "Sorry, for sitting on you who ever you are he said to the stone." probably sounding like an idiot and watching the flames flicker across the dimly lit space.
Evie had gotten up and had nosed her way threw the bag gathering as many stakes as she could. Before coming back over and sitting her knees facing his back, and asking when everything turned to shit. "Ummm when the dark forces decided to make this its play ground?" he said not knowing how to answer that really. "And not everything is shit. We could be dead or one of them right now, but we are not so I think that it is safe to say being alive isn't a shitty thing."he said sliding off and turning around to face her, taking her hands with in his own. "We will be okay, "he told her even if he didn't know they would be and was trying to be reassuring taking her hands and kissing them. "Isn't there any back up we could call?"he didn't know if there were others at the watchers council, and one powerful to get them out of here. "There isn't a sewer entrance in here or anything is there?"the last thing they would need is the vampires to find their way in there and ambush them and have them surrounded both ways.
-sorry baby this probably kind of sucks and hope you can work with it. Let me know.

Riley had apologised to an empty coffin which Evie actually found quite funny. He'd tried to make her see the brighter side to it all and it was true, they were both here and safe and alive. She was so so so glad he was okay. She didn't know he'd had any kind of conversation with her watcher, if she did she'd tell him he would never be a liability. She would run and hide from the calling forever if she had to, he was what mattered to her. She agreed to marry him before she found out what, who she was so he was her priority... for now at least. Riley asked if there was any back up they could call and Evie shook her head and looked away. "Christopher's dead!" She announced. "They got to him before i could!" And then he asked about sewer entrance and Evie just raised an eyebrow. "Because there's going to be LESS vampires in the sewers??" She asked, knowing that was wrong. It was how they got around in the day and a lot of them resided there. Evie stretched her body out and laid back against the concrete coffin. As Evie laid back she twiddled her engagement ring around her finger, watching the way it caught the candle light and sparkled gently. Evie let her foot poke him gently, looking towards him and waiting for a reaction before saying "I love you!" Since everything went all supernatural she'd been saying it a lot more often. She'd squished up so that he could come lay beside her if she wanted to. She was just glad to feel safe.

He didn't want to tell her about what her watcher said to him. He hated keeping secrets from her thought look at how well the ones from that school gossip did them. They had almost ended, but worked things out so could he tell her about that? Should he? He had apologized to the coffin which must have looked insane eh? He had asked Evie if they could call for back up. She said there wasn't any so it seemed like for now they were stuck here. Well he took it as there wasn't anyone else. He was a little shocked that Christopher is dead! That they got to him before she did. "I am sorry baby. It wasn't your fault. He knows the risk of being out there alone. So don't think it was your fault." he knew how Evie can be. She probably is thinking it is her fault in that head of hers and it isn't. She couldn't have known they would get him.
He had asked her about sewer entrance and gave him a snotty remark back and his mouth sort of dropped at that seeing as it was a yes or no question. Like he didn't know that was how they got around..."I am well aware that there will be more vampires down there and that is how they must travel especially in the day if they are on the move. I am thinking that I don't want any surprises and them showing up in here if there is a sewer tunnel and all. I don't want to be surrounded and I am sure you don't want that either. We would be as good as toast." he said babbling about. It it the Riley thing to do at sometimes especially when he is nervous and his stomach was in knots with worry. What were they going to do? Would they make it out of here?
She had sprawled out against the coffin, and nudged him with her foot. He turned to look. She had been playing with her ring watching it sparkle in the dim light and he wondered if she should be wearing that out. What if it breaks? Would the insurance on it cover it he didn't know. He wouldn't say anything thought and just looked at her. He was bleeding from where the vampire bitch scratched him and couldn't help, but think stupid bitch. Evie had told him that she loves him. "I love you, too." he replied effortlessly. He did love her more then anything if he didn't he would have probably left when he found out about this slayer stuff and all the drama attached with it. It could be difficult for them to have a normal life, but that is a risk he is still willing to take.
He had noticed she had been telling him she loves him a lot more since this destiny was dropped in her lap. Did she wonder if he was ever going to leave her because of it? She squished up on the coffin. He still wasn't aware it was empty"Are you sure you should be laying there my little bee?" he asked, and waited for her to respond before crawling in next to her, and stroking her hair softly as the candles flickered about the room. Who would ever think they would be here? Would they have to wait till morning? He laid there with her and then asked her one question she may not want to know the answer too and could be bad. "Do you think they turned your watcher? I mean he would know all this stuff on the slayers. He could become a good weapon for them. Do you think they did so?" It was something he was sure the watchers council would like to know etc. He hoped the vampires were too stupid to do so. Seriously they would be in hella trouble too because he was training Evie, and could know all her moves before she makes them and he wouldn't want that at all. So he was worried.

Everything was weighing on Evie heavily. She didn't handle stress or anything well. She didn't mean to snap at him about the sewer comment and to her it wasn't really a snap but it was and he'd been shocked she'd done so. He'd tried to explain himself and Evie just sighed. "Trust me.. It's not safe in the sewer baby, its probably safer out there with them than in the sewers!" She was more worried about him right now than herself and the idea of him out there with those THINGS scared the shit out of her. It made her feel terrified. Her stomach was all tired in knots and she felt physically sick.
Riley had questioned Evie about whether she should be laying there on the crypt and she'd smirked at it. "What? Worried my dead ancestors wont like us laying on them? Think they'll bite our bums??" She teased before giggling gently. "Relax it's empty... Well as far as bodys go... It's full of momentums, special items" Riley then asked if they'd have turned her watcher and her eyes went wide. She snuggled into him and whimpered slightly. "I don't know but I'm now worried about it!!"
Getting as comfortable as possible, Evie snuggled against Riley and closed her eyes with a sigh. Why the hell did everything have to go so wrong?? "You know I'm shocked you still want to be with me let alone marry me when this is the life you're being thrown into!" She said with a sigh. "To think I spent all this time worrying about turning 18 and being an adult and now... Now i don't have to worry about being a grown up or acting grown up and taking care of myself... i have to BE grown up and take care of the world."

Everything was changing so fast. It seemed just like yesterday they were in a happy normal relationship and just going to school. Sure they are in a happy relationship still they were just thrown into a whole new world of things. Things they didn't know be before. He tried to explain himself with the sewers and her sighing at him, and telling him i twas probably safer out there with them then in the sewers."I don't want to go in there with them Evie. I just don't want them showing up in here and attacking us. I wanted to make sure we are safe." Could she blame him for asking that and wanting to know if they were safe and all? He didn't want to die in here. Were they going to have to wait it out till morning? Lots of things were streaming threw his head.
They had gotten settled in on the tomb, and he asked if it was safe for them to be there it being a tomb and all he didn't want to disrespect the dead and all. Sure they probably already have done so tromping on graves running threw the graveyard and all. She asked him if he didn't think her ancestors would like them laying on them and would bite their bums. "Well you never know really they could. Vampires exist, what if they are zombies and try to eat our brains or are some time of mummies?" yeah he has watched to many horror movies, but he was wondering now if zombies really do exist. "Do they really exist?" he asked her she after all is training to fight the demons.
She had told him that this tomb was filled with family stuff. Special items and stuff. "Well thats good at least it doesnt have your ancestors in here. It really would feel odd laying on them don't you think?" he asked snuggling close to her he had asked here about her watcher and if she thinks they turned him, and she didn't know and was worried about it. "I don't blame you for being worried," she was in a tough situation and it was only going to get worse and he hated that.
She had gotten herself more comfortable on him, and he just held her close their world was changing, but he was still here and wasn't going anywhere unless he ended up dead. Did she worry about getting him killed like her watcher told him that he will get her killed. He stroked her hair softly and listened to her go on about how she is surprised he would still want to marry her with this and the life he is being thrown into. "You think a few vampires will change my mind on that? psh no.." did she think he would change his mind. "It would be wrong to just throw away everything we have because the undead don't want to stay dead and want to terrorize london"
Having to act and be grown up was a a hard burden, and he knew that but if anyone can handle it it was here. "Evie, if anyone can do it, it is you. You have acted grown up well more grown up then most our age ever since you were little. I know you will do great and we will make it threw this and figure out some way to make all of this work out. I am sure it won't be shit forever." He was being sincere there. It had to get better right and out of the pair she always had seemed more of an adult and she had to take care of reah when she was little so she has a good grasp on being an adult he thinks. "Things will get better." he tried to reassure her, and just held her tight "What are we going to do?" were they going to wait here till moring?
