My grandparents, who are dead on both sides of my family, hold the names of John and Claire Roux, and Jon-Luc and Lucielle Chevalier. I have one Aunt: Julie, and her husband Gilles, my cousins are Amélie and Josette Chevalier.

Photokinesis.

This power is simply the manipulation of light. This could be illusions of many sorts. It is passed down through my family, and even though any witch could really use this power, it comes naturally to Roux witches. I don't need a spell or a ritual to make this work, I can just think of something and it .. Appears. Illusion spells, or 'glamors', are one of the oldest forms of magic.

Pros:

• Anyone and everything can see these and really cannot tell the difference between the illusion and reality.
  
• This can be used as a defensive maneuver toward attackers, often a scare-tactic toward those 'others' whom would wish harm to me (vampires, werewolves, ect.)
  
• I can change small things about myself: eye color, hair color, body width and height..
  
• The more I practice my power of illusion, the stronger and more believable they become.

Cons:

• Vampires, werewolves, and witches (if powerful enough) can tell something is wrong; since my illusions do not give off any scent, and have a 'magical residue' of sorts.
  
• I cannot keep up any illusion for more than three or four hours, it will exhaust me. But I often test these time limits and pass/black out for long periods of time.
  
• Larger illusions render her helpless, my entire concentration will be used for it.
  
• You cannot touch my illusions.

• About Me; When I was little, say about five or six, my family's coven was overtaken by my Aunt and Uncle. It was just terrible, we went from being the most respected witches to being absolutely nothing.. My mother, being obviously reasonable, wanted to leave the country and part with the coven. My father, however, did not. See, he had planned on my brother taking over the coven when my Aunt died off, since she had no offspring whatsoever. Because only a blood relative of my great-great-great-great-great.. Great-Grandfather could be the leader of the Roux clan. The thing was that any of the blood-Roux may fight for the top spot, or coven leader when a formal duel was asked of the current leader. Lo and behold.. My father lost, and so.. Voilà! Auntie was the leader, and Papa was not.
But when my Aunt gave birth to the twins, the notion of having my brother or I take over the coven was completely shot down. The spot would obviously go to the more powerful of the two. Still, my father refused to leave, and in the summer of my seventh year my parents divorced. My brother and sister stayed in France with my Papa, I went to London with my Mother.
I went through high school while studying magics with my mother and going to school in London. Though I excelled in both.. Photography was my passion, because, well.. I can cheat when I take photographs.
Yeah, I can control light, what of it?
So here I am, living in London with my mother, well not with my mother, though I do visit her often to hear her complain about how much of a imbécile I am.
