Wham! A fist flew into Lisa’s head and she went crashing to the floor ‘Owww’ she thought as purple spots came in front of her eyes and she began to feel dizzy. She thought about the conversation she had had with Buffy a few hours before ‘You should take a couple of the other slayers with you, this demon is powerful’ but no Lisa thought she could handle it by herself “Well I do like a challenge” she muttered to herself as she rolled onto her front and pushed herself up off the ground. The demon grabbed her just as she got back to her feet and slung her into a nearby tree. “Did you really think you could defeat me slayer?” he asked. His voice was husky and his eyes were like slits with a hint green shining through. Again he advanced on her but this time Lisa was quicker and she jumped kicking him in his bright orange face.
As the demon stumbled back Lisa looked at him he was shorter than her and stumpy all he really needed was a green wig and he would have easily got an audition as an umpa lumpa, probably would get the job all they would have to do was find a way to hide his horns, tail and the ugly looking gem attached to his chest. ‘Gem?’ she thought ‘That must be it!’ Lisa had already tried a sword through the chest about 10 minutes ago and that never worked and at first she had thought that maybe this demon was just invincible. Smirking to herself like she always did she stood strong as the demon took swung at her with his fist. She grabbed his arm stopping him from moving it any further and rammed the palm of her hand into his chest smashing the gem. “What have you done?” The demon cried out.
Again Lisa smirked this time so the demon could see and she gave him a little wink as a black substance bled from him but as she tried to take away her hand she realised it was stuck there onto his chest. She watched with horror as though it was in slow motion the black substance moved onto her fingers and began to run up her arm. Within seconds it had covered her up to her neck and she screamed as it moved up to her face. Then it covered the ground making a hole around her and like a brick being dropped to the floor she dropped straight through it and into the ground. The forest floor of Misery Valley began to reappear as the black substance compacted until it was just the size of a coin and then it disappeared.
Lisa felt as though she was being squeezed so tight her eyes were going to pop out but as fast as it began it stopped as a coin size black substance dropped into the centre of a forest and it began to spread and mould into two different shapes one of a girl and the other a demon. Rain was falling from the sky which was unusual for June and as Lisa opened her eyes she noticed the demon in front of her beginning to get to his feet, she was dazed by what had just happened but quickly jumped up too and raised her fists preparing herself for another battle but without saying a word the demon took one terrified look at her and then ran in the opposite direction.
Shocked Lisa watched him as he disappeared into the distance, as his tail disappeared behind a bush. She sighed with relief and then the pain hit her, it always happened after the adrenaline rush of a fight had settled down. Pain seared through Lisa’s right shoulder where she had been stretching it to reach the demon as he had moved back from her punches. Rubbing it she looked around and realised she didn’t know this part of the forest which was strange because she thought that after a year and half she had learnt her way around even in the dark. She turned around and looked there was a mud path leading through the trees that she could just make out she was too tired to go after the demon so decided to go back to her apartment and get some sleep before returning to the watchers council in the morning and reporting back to Buffy.
Following the path she thought of the I told you so’s she would get and that Buffy was right in thinking she needed back up. As the trees began to clear Lisa expected to see a church but instead found an empty park. ‘Something’s not right’ she thought to herself as she looked around she realised she actually had no clue as to where she was. She stopped by a bench and pulled out her phone from her jeans pocket which told her she had no signal and that it had just past 10:38pm but it was light here. ‘Oh crap’ wondering where the hell she was and how to get back home she carried on walking through the park that lead her to a street filled with tersest house’s and a sign that told her she was in Tiverton street.
After about an hour of walking the streets and being seriously worried she came to an area that was busy, there were lots of cars passing by and people who seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere. She stopped a passerby and asked for the time “It is 4:50pm” he replied with what was definatly an English accent; Lisa knew the English ascent pretty well after all she was English; from Chester in fact. He must have seen the confused look on Lisa’s face as he asked if she was ok. “Don’t suppose if you know if there’s a library anywhere around here.” “Just turn left at the end of the street and its right in front of you” he smiled. “Thanks” she replied as she began to walk in the direction he had pointed in.
No matter how hard she tried she could not remember how she got to this place which seemed so far to be a whole different town. She remembered the black substance covering her entire body and the feeling of being squeezed tightly then all of a sudden being on the ground next to the demon. If anything had happened in-between that entire she never had a clue.
Feeling as scared as the first time she found out she was a slayer and went into battle Lisa entered the library. It was always something she avoided at the watchers council, Lisa hated research but now it was something that had to be done, she needed to know where she was and what had happened to her. A stern looking librarian watched her as she strolled over to a computer and sat herself down in front of it, probably because after fighting the demon Lisa looked a little bruised and messy. Lisa never cared about her bruises though because after a day or so they would have disappeared: that was a good part of being a slayer. Injuries healed much faster than they would do on a normal person. Feeling uncomfortable she looked around the library and at the people in there. There was a few most looking around her age busy typing out which Lisa could only guess as essays if they were students. Lisa turned her head back to the computer screen and stared at it for what felt like forever as she realised she hadn’t a clue where to start.

Today started out like an ordinary day to him. It was a nice summer day for once. Weather here was usually unexpected and you never knew if it was going to be nice or if it was going to rain. You had to be prepared there. Riley went to work at the garage and fixed up some cars like he normally did, it helped that he was going to school for this as well so it helped improve his skills at fixing them it should be an easy grade for him really, and maybe he would learn more and more on custom modifications and all that rad stuff that goes with building cars from the ground up. After work he went home and got cleaned up and then headed to the library to do more work and to do a little research.
He couldn't believe the world he has been thrown into and it was a little difficult to handle at times. He had even taken to reading occult books and witchcraft to see what else is out there in the world and what else goes bump in the night there was tons of literature on it, but what was the truth? What is the true version. If there was vampires did that mean there is demons? What if his neighbor was a demon? How could he tell. The questions were endless. Riley at a library is something that isn't seen too often really. Yes, he is a little bit of a computer nerd, but on the down low. So anyone who knows him seeing him here would be odd especially seeing him fixing the computers.
Riley after all is a party person a social butterfly not one to be in musky old libraries. He had seen a girl come in the library. He hadn't seen her around, but she looked a little scuffed up and was bruised, and everyone was giving her a look over and whispering. Most didn't know how to mind their own business including himself, because he was wondering if she is okay and what happened. He had shrugged it off and went back to what he was doing for now finishing up fixing and making the computer work better at the one he was stationed at and needed repairing.
He finished that and began to research the supernatural creatures and books out there that he could look them up in. Sure, lot of info was on the net, but their has to be old rare copies of things in libraries right? He looked up again, and the girl was sitting at one of the computers starring blankly at it. It made him wonder all the more if she was okay and what happened to her? "Are you okay? Do you need some help?" Riley asked. He was being polite after all and people were talking and whispering and typing away. He rolled his eyes at that. If she doesn't know how to use the computer maybe he could be of some assistance right?
Maybe the computer wasn't working and that one too needed to be repaired, then he would fix that one too. He moved around the table to see that she was just sitting there and had done nothing so it couldn't be the computer is broken. "My names Riley, and you are?" he asked quietly and held out his hand for her, but he wasn't sure if she would take it or bat it away. She looked like she had been beating up. He wondered if some boyfriend did this to her or if she was in some kind of accident? A parent do this to her? He would hate it really if some boyfriend did this to her. His sister was in a relationship like that and he just wants to beat the guy to a bloody pulp, but usually it is him that gets beat not the dude Misty is seeing.
"Do you need to see someone a doctor something?" Riley asked her. Poor dear didn't look to well and he was sort of worried. Was that odd? Should he be? It could be just with everything he has learned as of late and with his sister in an abusive relationship he didn't like to see woman beat up. He was raised right. Hell just the other night he was attacked by a woman who was indeed a vampire and he had to hit her and he hated it with every fiber of his being, but she wasn't a lady anymore she was a bloodsucker and it was going to be him or her till Evie came and saved his ass. It was still a little odd that happening and all it would take some getting used to.

Lisa knew that everyone was staring at her as she continued to look at the blank computer screen but that never bothered her. Aware that someone was approaching her she rolled her eyes a little. There was always someone that wanted to help her, someone that felt sorry for her. Lisa had seen him out of the corner of her eye working on a computer, when she first came into the library, after all she did always spot the good looking people first and this guy was rather attractive. Lisa managed to click on the internet explorer quickly as he asked if she was ok. He too had an English accent which was strange as usually she was the only person around that wasn’t a slayer or watcher who had one! Taking a quick glance at him and into his dark eyes she smiled a little and turned her attention back to the computer screen which was still loading up internet explorer.
“I’m fine” she muttered to him not wanting to be rude and as he extended his hand she took it and gave it a shake “I’m Lisa” she half smiled at him. She knew he was looking at her bruises she could feel a tingling sensation around her eye and guessed she had a nice shiner there. She looked back at the computer trying to avoid his gaze because it was making her feel a little bit uncomfortable. “And I thought my computer was slow” she sighed, leaning back on the chair she eventually turned to around fully to face him and could see that he looked slightly worried.
“A doctor? No I’m fine honestly, just got into a small scrap with someone” she replied hoping that he wouldn’t ask any more questions that Lisa couldn’t answer in fear of him thinking that she was crazy. “I bruise very easily” that was a lie, it took a lot for Lisa to come out in a bruise and the demon she had just been in battle with had been very powerful. Lisa though was used to getting bruises but luckily for her they never lasted long, usually she would just stay in her apartment for the day then by the next day they was gone. She looked around the library again and could see that people were still popping up their heads to take a look at her before realising she was looking back at them and getting on with their own work. “I feel like a new animal in a zoo that no one’s ever seen before” she admitted to Riley.
She looked back at the computer screen, finally the internet had loaded up and she was ready to search but as she scanned the page her jaw dropped. “London? I’m in London? England?” she said a little too loud so that again all eyes were on her. There it was right in front of her on the home page, the weather bar showing the sun and warm temperatures were forecast for today in London. Realising how crazy she sounded that she never even realised where she was she looked back at Riley half expecting him to think she was crazy and walk off.

As he had came over the girl clicked up internet explorer to seem as like she was doing something and when he asked if she needed any help she simply stated. "I am fine.", and he figured he shouldn't press anymore then that at least for this moment at least. Everyone was still staring at her like she was some circus freak or something and it was rather rude. It was just something you had to get used.
He had offered his hand and his name and she replied, by telling him her name was Lisa. "Pleasure to meet you, Lisa." he said shaking her hand, and couldn't help but look at them bruises. He didn't stare for too long at them bruises seeing as well he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, and she mentioned something about and she thought her computer was slow. "If it is being too slow you can use the one I was working on it is good to go now. " he figured he should probably look at that one too before he leaves or else if it crashes he will be back to fix it and make more money.
He was sort of worried about her with all the bruises and asked if she needed a doctor. He could take her if she needed one. She turned to face him and could probably tell that he is worried and she told him she just got into a scuffle with someone and she bruises easy. He winced softly, "Ouch, that has got to suck really. I hope this scuffle wasn't with a boyfriend. The dude would deserve a good ass kicking if that were the case." He really didn't like it when men hit woman. No matter how mad he can get at one he would never hit them unless they are vampire and are trying to eat him then it is a must.
He went back to work, working on another computer close to her. Most usually just bring their laptops and work on papers, but some use the library ones and fill them up with spam, malware, and viruses and all the other junk that crashes computers. Lisa seemed to notice people still looking at her and said she feels like a new animal at the zoo. " I am sorry some people really are so nosey. I myself am probably one of them, but hey at least I came to see if you were okay and am not whispering and gossiping about. I am sure they will stop soon." well at least he hoped they would get board and stop looking at her it had to be making her uncomfortable.
He had noticed she didn't have an english accent, but one of the states so he figured maybe she was here on vacation with her family or friends, but didn't want to pry or butt in on that. He didn't want to be rude. Lisa hadn't moved to another computer she probably didn't want to move and be stared at all the more and he couldn't blame that one bit. He would feel the same way if it were him. The screen finally loaded and told her the weather. He didn't see her jaw drop or anything of that sort because he was working on the computer defraging it and all that disk checking, but he heard what came next and could tell her voice was full of shock when she had realized she was in London, England.
Everyone seemed to stare and started to whisper thinking she had to be a little nuts to not know where she was."Go about your business. " he told the people looking at her. He didn't want her to have the whole zoo feeling again. "Yes, you are. Did you not know where you are? You weren't kidnapped and abducted were you or were in a plane crash?" he did find it odd that she didn't know where she was. She wasn't a missing person from the states was she?

Lisa could tell that riley was worried with the way he kept looking at her bruises, she couldn’t tell him exactly what had happened to her because it would make her seem crazy and she couldn’t think of a story to make up that seemed good enough to explain why she didn’t have a clue where she was either. Again as Riley asked about her bruises she sighed a little. “To be honest I actually can’t remember” she lied. Lisa guessed it was better to play dumb than crazy. “I’m just guessing I got them in a fight or something.” she doubted that riley would believe her but she had no other choice. She couldn’t just tell him she was fighting a demon when somehow it transported them both here.
Lisa remembered the demon screaming at her asking what she had done and felt even more confused, why wouldn’t the demon want to be here? If the demon didn’t want to be then there was probably a reason. Maybe there was something bigger and stronger, more powerful around. Realising she had zoned a little she quickly shook her head and looked back over at Riley who was now working on another computer. “That’s true” she agreed as he spoke of how nosey some people could be. Although riley had suggested she moved to another computer she never did. She knew that moving would only cause everyone to look back up at her and get a better look.
“You’re right, I don’t think many people would come over to me, I doubt I would myself. I must look a right mess” Luckily Lisa hadn’t been able to see herself as there had been no mirrors around but she could only imagine how bad she must look with her long usually straight hair all tangled and messed up. Her clothes were covered with dirt and there was even a tear in the jacket she had only bought a week ago.
Just as she had shouted out riley had told the others in the library to mind their own business she gave him a look of thanks. Typing into the search bar Misery Valley she quickly pressed the enter key. She needed to get back there but as the search results returned there seemed to be no such place. Looking through the links for a sign of the town she called home she bit her bottom lip freaking out as there was no sign of the town. What had happened with that demon? She thought she was just in a different country but was it that Lisa was in an entirely different world to the one she lived in?
Riley confirmed for her that she was in London and then again began to ask more questions which Lisa couldn’t answer. He asked if she was kidnapped or had been in a plane crash but all Lisa could give as a reply was “I can’t explain it” she looked at him and realised that even though she had no answers, he could be useful. “Don’t think I’m crazy but were still in the year 2010 right? Where about in London am I?” Lisa had been to London before; when she first found out she was a slayer she was sent to the watchers council here. But she never really had time to go out and find her way around town, she was doing constant training with her watcher and once that had finished she was sent straight to L.A and into battle.
Lisa felt a slight headache coming to her and put her hand to her head. She thought finding out that being a slayer was stressful but this, this was something else. What if she was in a whole new world? Would Buffy know who she was, what about her other friends? Not to mention her parents who lived here in England and with that she was searching on the internet again. This time typing in her dads name to find his business that he run. Lisa knew he had a website but she just couldn’t remember the link to it. If Lisa could find her parents back in her home town of Chester, things wouldn’t be so bad for her. They were the ones who always supported her, gave her everything she needed.

He had asked her about her bruises, and she said she didn't know she must have gotten them in a fight or something. He just looked her over again before replying. "It must have been one hell of a fight if you can't remember it." She hadn't moved as he suggested so well the computer must not have been too bad. She still got on the net even if she did zone off for a bit. Could he blame her with all that has happened to her. He wasn't sure if he believed that she didn't remember where she got the bruises unless she has amnesia.
She didn't know if she would offer to talk to someone else if she seen them in the state that she was in and how she looked. "What can I say. I am a fairly decent guy. I must admit I was curious too as to what happened to you and well don't like seeing that a pretty girl got beaten up on." He really did hate that some dude could have beaten up on her and yes she does look a mess, but he isn't going to tell her that. It would be rude and he could get slapped even if she said she did herself. "I am just glad that you are okay." he said being sincere.
Riley let her go about her business on the computer not paying attention to what she was doing or researching seeing as he was working on fixing up another computer unclogging the system to make it work better, and to put up better firewalls and stuff. She seemed shocked that she was in London and now his amnesia theory was starting to look pretty good. Did she have selective amnesia? When he confirmed she was in London. He had asked if she had been in a plane crash or was abducted due to the fact of thinking maybe she had amnesia or a selective type of amnesia. Could you blame him for thinking so? She had told him she couldn't explain it, and that didn't really give him any answers and they were sort of back at square one.
Next thing she asked him was if they were still in 2010 and where about in London they are and asked him not to think she is nuts. "I don't think you are crazy, just think maybe with whatever scuffle you got yourself mixed up in you may have got a bit of selective amnesia or something. You sure you don't want to see someone and get checked out? But yes, we are still in June of 2010, and we are in Camden." he had told her waiting to know if she knew where she was now or how she got here, but she probably still would have no answers for him. "Do you have any family or friends around here? Maybe I can take you to see them." He would be more then happy to escort her there when he is finished if there was somewhere she needed to be.

She continued trying to search for her dad on the internet. If she got back to her parents everything would be fine, she could make up a story about being on a break from university whilst trying to find her way back to her home. Funny that she called misery valley her home really when she had only been living there for a year and half but it was the first place Lisa had actually felt like she belonged, she had made something of herself there, she had friends there. Whereas here in London she felt like she had nowhere to turn. Sitting in the library made her feel like the odd kid in a school the one who all the others whispered about. Lisa wondered if Riley was actually feeling sorry for her and she didn’t need sympathy right now, she needed someone who understood.
Lisa chuckled to herself as he asked another question one about the fight and the fact she could not remember it. “Must have been” she replied. Lisa knew that for as long as she spoke to Riley he would keep asking questions that she couldn’t answer but having him there not looking at her like others in the library were made her feel that he was actually just a nice guy who was pretty concerned and reassured her that there was some good in this new world. Many things had happened in Lisa’s life, things that were life changing and she had got through it so Lisa knew that somehow she would make it through this.
Riley then told her that he was a decent guy but too also curious to what had happened to her. “Didn’t they say that curiosity killed the cat, so far you do seem like a decent guy, I’ll give you that” she clicked off the internet giving up on all hope of finding her father on there. There had to be some other way though, maybe if she could just get to Chester she would find him and her mother but how was she going to get there? Lisa had nothing except her phone in her jacket pocket which she noticed pulling it out a little had no signal.
As Riley began to answer Lisa’s questions she was told that they were still in fact in the year 2010 and in Camden which actually meant nothing to her as she realised that they were pretty lousy questions. The only thing she really needed to know was how to get home. But his answer also gave Lisa an idea, Riley thought that Lisa must have some kind of amnesia and if she thought that she could play on it to find out more about the world she was in. “That’s it! Maybe you’re right, I do remember banging my head and when I woke up it was near a park somewhere and I had no clue where I was” she lied, Lisa’s head hadn’t actually been touched during the fight with the demon except for her face which was pretty messed up right now.
Riley then took the lead again in the conversation with another question this time though he asked if she had any family around. “None in London that I know of” she admitted “My parents live in Chester but that’s all the way up north. Don’t worry though, I’ll be fine. I don’t really want to have to go see a doctor or anything, my memory will come back eventually” she sighed Lisa wasn’t a very good liar but she did pray that she could pull the wool over this poor guys eyes with the whole memory loss idea. She hated lying to people but it was something she had to do to protect them and stop them thinking that she was cuckoo. “Enough about me” she said desperately wanting to change the subject “What about you? Are you from around here? You certainly have a southerner’s accent. I’ve always thought they sounded posh compared to the northerners”

Riley really was trying to help Lisa the best he could see really did seem lost and she thought maybe he was right about with the short term memory loss, but she kept insisting that she didn't need a doctor. He however did keep asking her just in case she changed her mind. Woman sometimes do after all. So he wanted to be real sure seeing as she was a mess. She had mentioned about curiosity killed that cat, but told him so far he has been a decent guy. He could have been one of them people that noses about and puts it on a blog about a weird encounter, but he was not like that. "Well yes, I have. That didn't stop me though. I couldn't let you sit here all by yourself and be looked at like some circus display or someting. At least this way it makes you look like you know someone." he had said and it was true it made her stand out a little less talking to someone, but still there was a few nosey lots of people.
Riley tried to answer her questions about where she was and the year and didn't think she was nuts just needed help, because he did think she acquired some short term memory loss . She did tell him that she thinks she did hit her head and she woke up in a park and didn;t know where she was. Poor woman having to deal with that it had to be traumatic. He had ask on her family again and if she wanted to see someone and get checked out and she explained to him how she had family in Chester, but not to worry she would be okay that was way up north. He hmmmmed that did seems a ways away maybe he could help her get in contact with them. "Maybe I can help you get in touch with them." he told her as he finished up on the computer he was working on . She had gotten off the Internet so she obviously was having no luck with that one.
"Want to uses this one?" he asked motioning to the one that he was currently at, before she asked him about him changing the subject. Woman do love to change the subject so she must not have liked the constant questions about her. She had asked if he was from here. "Yes, I am from here actually grew up her and thanks I am glad you think that. I am still going to college and work and all that jazz that goes with being legal and 18. What else can I say about me. I come from a rather big family. I have two brothers and a spoiled rotten sister who has the worst taste in guys. He is a brute that beats on her and well, I got my ass kicked by him before. Why I asked if you were having guy issues with the bruises. I hate seeing woman being abused in that sorta way." which probably shed a lot more light on why he had asked about the a boyfriend beating on her or if she had been abducted by someone. Even if it was boyfriend issues he shouldn't expect her to tell him a perfect stranger and all.
"I have a girlfriend who I asked to marry me. Most think I am nuts, so i hope you don't think that. If you are going to be around for a while you should meet her. Who know maybe our parents can help get in contact with yours? I am sure they are looking for you after all."Riley didn't know she hasn't been around in a while but has been in the states and that her parents don't even know that she is here so they wouldn't be looking for her.
" If you have no place else to go my mother would be more then happy to take you in till you get a hold of them.." he didn't know if she would take him up on his offer or think he is some loony at asking her. He waited to see if she wanted to swap computers and search for her parents on the one he was at. "Anything else you care to know?" He would tell her whatever else she wanted to know. It was nice she didn't just get up and walk away after he kept asking if she wanted a doctor. If she did take him up on his offer at least then his mum and Evie can make sure she is okay and Misty or Evie were sure to have some clothes she can get into and get cleaned up. She probably would enjoy a nice shower after all.

Riley had said that him sat talking to her looked like she actually knew someone and he was right people were not staring so much now that she was talking to him. Lisa just wished that she never had to lie to him, he seemed so willing to help her but if she told him the truth then he would be carting her off to see a doctor thinking that she did more than just lose a bit of her memory from the bang to her head. So far he had been very helpful in answering her questions and seemed keen to answer more, but the only thing she wanted to know now was if she could get back to her parents. Then it hit her, maybe there was still a watchers council here in London. Slayers had been coming from here to Misery so there must be, she just didn’t dare ask and wasn’t going to type it into the internet just in case someone saw. Lisa also doubted that they would put that kind of information on the internet after all it was a big secret that there were such things as slayers and demons.
Riley also offered Lisa to help her get in touch with her parents which was very kind. “That would be a great help if you really don’t mind” she smiled wondering what the reaction of her mother and father would be. It had been so long since she had seen them, not because she didn’t want to but because she wanted to protect them from the world that she knew. There were a lot of things out there that wanted to get to slayers and they would use a slayers family to do so and that was something Lisa never wanted to happen but now it seemed like she had no other choice but to go to them. If she did she would have to keep her world and theirs from crossing paths as much as she could.
Lisa leaned back on the computer chair and shuffled about a little making herself more comfortable and rested her arms on the computer desk as Riley told her more about himself. She was right in thinking that he was in fact from here. Unlike her he came from a big family where as Lisa was an only child, growing up she had always wanted a little brother or sister to play with but her parents never conceived another child so she settled for a puppy instead. He explained that he was only 18 a few years younger than her but he seemed to have made something of his life, going to college and having a job unlike Lisa who had always relied on daddy’s money not being able to keep a real job due to her duties as a slayer. He explained about his younger sister which helped Lisa understand why he was worried about her “It must be hard on you seeing what he does and feeling powerless about it” she thought aloud. A man beating her was something that she never had to worry about it because she was too powerful and if Lisa ever saw another man hit a woman she would make sure he never did it again.
If being a slayer had thought Lisa anything it was that life was short and you should live it to the full; if a young couple in love wanted to get married then who was anyone to judge them. “It would be nice to meet some people whilst I’m here. Can’t say id have much fun walking the streets on my own” she half smiled. “You must have a really good family if your parents will do that, I doubt mine will be worried though, I’m a big girl now. They will think I’m still study at university over in America.” Lisa was going to say misery but thought better of it considering she couldn’t even find it on the internet it would just look like she had made the town up. She worried that anyone else who heard the story she had just told Riley would think she had lost it and would cart her off to a doctors. What if his fiancée and parents didn’t want the bother of trying to help her out like he did, she never wanted to put anyone out.
Riley then offered Lisa a place to go, he told her that his mother wouldn’t mind taking her in “Your mum sounds like a saint” she smiled “It really is a lovely offer but I don’t want to put you out, wouldn’t your family mind a stranger been in the house?” it was an offer that Lisa didn’t want to refuse but she also never wanted to impose even though she had nowhere else to go at the minute. It seemed a little strange that she would put her trust into a total stranger but lisa was no ordinary girl and could look after herself. Riley also seemed like a very normal and genuinely nice guy to her, and after everything she could do with a bit of normality in her life.

He offered to help her get in touch with her parent that was the very least he could do really. Besides knowing what happened or at least what he is believed to have happened well he couldn't leave her hear to fend for herself and let her be lost and travel around Camden and be the talk amongst the people all over now could he? That would be rude. "Of course I don't mind. It would be my pleasure." It really would be his pleasure and it would be a good deed to now wouldn't it?
He explained some more about him to Lisa seeing as she asked and explained everything from his family, himself and his sisters boyfriend and why he possibly thought a guy did this to her and was glad it wasn't but sucked she didn't really remember what happened to her and all. What he didn't know was she was on the same boat as Evie really.
"Yeah, it does suck, but it isn't like I haven't tried anything about it. I got my ass kicked in the process. It is a hairy situation really. This dude used to see my fiancée as well, so it is almost like my sister sees him to spite us ya know. It is awful really. He is a real jerk ward." Riley remember the night he had gotten into the fight with him. Riley can be a bit of a stubborn ass and usually get him in to shit, but he couldn't take the dude hurting Evie. was it bad he has often thought of finding a hit man to take him out? What more could he do?
"Eventually she would have to learn right and get over him and see what he does to her. I just hope it is sooner then later.." Even their parents have tried to stop her from seeing him, but she just sneaks out even when she is grounded, but that was enough about that. He had asked if there was anything else she wanted to know and told her that she should meet his fiancée while she is here and that they can all possibly help her locate her family seeing as she is all alone here.
She told him how she wouldn't have much fun walking on the streets by herself. "I would assume you wouldn't either you would be dealing with more nosy lots like this bunch pointing and whispering. I couldn't have that." he really couldn't and listened to her talk some more telling him he had a really nice family and all if his would help her out and she explained that hers probably wouldn't worry too much they think she is in the USA going to university.
"Were you there at university. It must be nice over there? Did you like it where you were?" He was interested in how she liked it in the states and if it was nice where she was. If her parents thought she was in the states it really was the least he could do helping her get in touch with them and all. They would probably be happy to hear from her.
Sure she is a big girl now, but even big girls need help at times and he did offer so of course he would help her locate them and put her on a bus to see them if he needs to. It was always good on ones soul to do good deeds like this when you can. she does seem like a sweet girl to so it would be tragic to let her wander alone. He had told her about his mother and all and offered her to stay with them till they can get a hold of her parents and she told him she wouldn't want to intrude and all.
"You wouldn't be." he tried to tell he hoping she wouldn't be changing her mind about coming thinking she would be a burden and all because she wouldn't be. "My parents like to see the best in people till they are proven otherwise." She didn't seem like a psycho so she would be given the benefit of the doubt and could use some help.
"I must warn you though my mum will probably try to fatten you up some. She loves to cook and well we love to eat so there is alway more then enough food so don't hesitate by thinking you are taking too much."He said softly with a grin. He did love to eat and well Lisa must be starving who knows how long she was wandering. "Shall we go?" he asked. He was done with working on computers for now. He had stood up and offered his hand to lead her to his truck to head home and for her to meet the family. He hoped they wouldn't scare her too much. They are nice people.
