Riley was being so open with her and she felt so guilty for lying to him but what other choice did she have? Lisa thought about how she could keep her identity as a slayer secret in a house full of ordinary people, it would be hard, she could even put them in danger and she couldn’t do that. What if there were no vampires or evil here though? She hadn’t thought of that, after all this place seemed like a whole new world to her, where would she fit in? The only thing she knew was how to be a slayer. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad though, it could be a break for Lisa while she figured out how to get back to her world maybe she could remember a bit of what it would be like to be normal, make some friends that she never had to worry about being harmed by evil creatures. It was all so confusing to Lisa that she was having trouble getting her head around it but she couldn’t let it get to her not just yet anyway.
Riley said that it would be his pleasure to help her find her parents and told her more about his family; Lisa could see why he wanted to help. It showed that to Riley family was very important and he would do what he could for them even if it did mean getting his ass kicked by his sister’s boyfriend. His sister seemed like the stubborn type which reminded Lisa or herself back in the day when she was living at home, she always did the opposite of what her parents wanted her to do. “I’m sure she will come to her senses she just sounds like the type of girl that doesn’t like being told what to do. Have you tried just letting her get on with it to see what happens?” she asked thinking that maybe if she realised that it never bugged her family so much she would get bored and see sense.
Lisa didn’t want to think what she would of done if it hadn’t been for Riley, she would have probably ended up sleeping in a doorway somewhere or on a bench. All the passers by looking at her like she was worthless, like she had done something to belong on the streets. If only the world knew what was out there and how she did what she could to protect it. Lisa really needed a shower she could smell the stench of the demon she was fighting on her, not to mention the state of her hair and she probably had dirt smeared across her face after being thrown to the ground god knows how many times.
Riley asked about university so she told him the same lie she told her parents “I was studying Psychology, it was hard work but I enjoyed it, the town I lived in wasn’t anything fantastic, just a normal small town but it felt like home. I’d only been there a year and half but I just felt like I belonged there, ya know?” she frowned, she wondered if anybody had realised that she was missing yet, probably not they would still be tucked up in their beds fast asleep. It would be late there now in misery but Lisa never felt tired, she was more of a night person going to bed in the early hours and not getting up till that afternoon.
He then reassured Lisa again, he told her that she wouldn’t be putting out his parents and that they liked to see the good in people. She half smiled, Lisa knew that always trying to see the good in people was a kind gesture but not always for the best, but even though she knew that herself she did it too. He told her that his mum loved to cook, Lisa couldn’t cook to save her life but always seemed to eat but it was mostly junk food. Lisa wasn’t even too sure how to use a microwave. She didn’t tell him that though, she never wanted to make herself look more pathetic and stupid than what she already did. Lisa could see that he was so kind hearted but also thought that he probably just felt sorry for her. He offered his hand and asked if they should go.
For a moment Lisa just looked at Riley’s hand held out for her to take and then she looked up at him with his kind smile and sighed before getting up off her chair and taking it. What other choice did she have? It wasn’t like he was going to try and murder her, well she didn’t think so anyway and even if he had just sat there telling her a bunch of lies to get her to leave with him Lisa could handle herself, especially against a human. She chuckled to herself at what she had just been thinking, ‘Maybe I am crazy after all.’ she thought to herself. Riley seemed too genuine to be able to lie that good about himself. And so she trusted him, “Lead the way” she smiled.

Lisa had made a good suggestion on how to handly Misty maybe Lisa was right they should try that approach and hopes it helps, but he fears she can't leave him because he will kill her or something he is a punk ass like that after all. He couldn't believe the dude and how he treats woman and they still fling to him even though they know how he is. He doesn't get how that works at all. "Thank you. We shall have to try that. Perhaps you are right." Misty really is stubborn and has a temper. They all have a temper to an extent. He has a nasty one when it rears its ugly head. He will have to try to ignore the fact she is seeing the dude or tell her that if she wants to see him it is okay and move on. It made him wonder if it would really work.
He had asked Lisa about University in the states when she told him she had been going to the states and university he thought it had to be nice to be in the states. He wants to visit someday. he listened to her talk about Psychology, and how she liked it but it was hard work. Riley nodded at that noting he understood and was sure the course work really was a pain in the arse, but was worth it he was sure. She explained about the little town she was living in and how she had been there for a year and a half and it felt like home like she belonged.
"It is always good when your home away from home feels like home. IF you get my rambling non sense there. I am sure it was a lovely place." It made him wonder how much she remembered about her town. Did she have loads of friends, did she miss them? Maybe one day she will see them again. He hoped they could help her get where she needed to be.
Riley reassured her that it was okay with his parents and they would be more then happy to help her out and how they see the good in people and she seemed nice not like she was going to hack them all up and murder them or anything. He had been finished and ask her if she was ready to go and offered her his hand, and she told him to lead the way once she had taken his hand. He talked to the librarian telling her what he has done etc before they left and headed to his truck. He opened the door for her to slide in before hoping in the drivers side and heading home. It wasn't too far of a ride home. He had parked up and jumped out of the car, and walked around and opened the door for her, and waited for her to get out before heading to the house. "Well this is where I live." He told her showing her which it was before they headed to the door.
It made him wonder if she would run off or stay seeing most would think a stranger bringing you home is like the movies where they hack you up and eat you or something. Was she one of them girls? He unlocked the door and went in ushering he to come in, only to find Evie in the living room with weapons out, and Riley with a dumbfound expression on his face with the ''what are you doing look?' on his face and hoped she would come up with an excuse like it is for a play or something and they are props. His parents must be out maybe they went to the grocery. Was just his luck though bring someone home and the weapons are out.
"Ummm..." he stated not knowing what to really say annd hoped she didnt think they were planning to hack her up or something now and hoped she wouldn't run off.. "Lisa, this is my fiancée, Evie, and Evie this is Lisa. She could use some help trying to reach her parents." he said, but figured Lisa may want to explain. It is her story and all. He hoped she didn't think they were some sort of freaks now. He could so use a fag (cig) now. "Would you like anything to drink?" he asked Lisa. If she needed something he could go get it and should call his mum saying they have a house guest so she knows.

Riley had thanked Lisa for her suggestion of letting his sister get on with her boyfriend and seeing if she came around to seeing him for what he was “I hope it helps” she replied thinking that if Misty was anything like how Lisa was when she was younger it would work. Lisa herself had always gone for the guys her parents disliked just to see how wound up it made them and then once they stopped paying attention she ditched them.
She had told him about the town she was living in and how it had felt like home to her and Riley had replied thinking that he was rambling but she understood what he was saying “to be honest the town wasn’t that great, but the people I met were. Most of the girls living there were just like me in a way.” most of them were like Lisa in a way because they were slayers and she had friends that she could talk to about her life and not have to hide the fact she was a slayer. “It’s hard to remember, my heads a little fuzzy about the rest” she lied thinking that she probably shouldn’t tell him anymore.
Needing all the help she could get and seeing that Riley was offering to give her it, she had agreed to let him take her back to his home so she could try to contact her parents. Lisa wasn’t so sure that she would be able to though; after all if this was a different world would her parents even know her? What if there was another one of herself running around? What she needed was to lay low until she could figure a way to get back home. It was too much for her to think about right now and as she got into Riley’s truck she sat in silence looking at the scenery as he drove back to his home. It wasn’t a long journey and as they pulled up outside a house Lisa tried to remember the route they had taken, she hadn’t recognised any of the places they had passed from when she was in London, not like she got out anyway thanks to her watcher who constantly made her train.
Riley jumped out of the truck and walked around to the front door. Lisa took off her seatbelt and followed ‘Well here it goes’ she thought to herself wondering what Riley’s family were going to say. She looked up at the house as riley pointed it out and told her it was where he lived, it did certainly look like a family home and from the outside it looked nice, different to the apartment block she was used to living in. Lisa followed him inside feeling a little uncomfortable; did she have to take her shoes off or not? Riley never so she didn’t, following him into the living room she glanced around it was cosy, different to what she was used to but in a nice way, you could tell a family lived in this house and that’s what made a house feel like a home.
Lisa then noticed a girl sat there with, well with weapons and she quickly glanced back at Riley who obviously was looking dumbfounded at the girl. She could tell that he now was a little uncomfortable by the way he ‘ummmed’ before introducing her to his fiancée. “I hope you don’t mind” she smiled at her before glancing back at the weapons. Lisa wondered if there were slayers in this world too, if maybe Evie was one and it was just good luck that she had ran into riley in the library, maybe now she would be able to tell the truth and get some real help back to where she belonged. Riley asked Lisa if she would like a drink “Please, anything cold” she smiled. Lisa hadn’t even thought about a drink until now and now that she had her throat felt like it was burning.
Lisa stood there for a moment as Riley went to get her a drink, she really wasn’t sure what to say to Evie she felt just as dumbfounded as Riley had looked when they walked in. She looked at the weapons again and saw a stake among them so decided to just come out with it. If Evie wasn’t a slayer why would she have them? Lisa wasn’t so sure how to put it so she asked it in the most blunt way possible “Slayer?” was all she managed.((Not sure how good this is for you, if you want me to add anything else just let me know))

It was getting to that time where Evie was starting to get really sick of her watcher. The bitch had almost run her into the ground and she'd found herself constantly exhausted. Everton Brett almost could not remember the last time she spent time with her boyfriend other than the time they were in bed. It was probably the day that her first watcher was killed and she found herself stuck in a crypt with him but that was rare when it happened. This whole slayer thing was peeing her off it really was. So Evie made a stand - She called in sick.
Technically you couldn't call in sick from being a slayer, it was a calling and not a job, but she called in sick from her training session. Riley's mum and dad had gone to some conference and left Misty with her nan so it was just the 2 of them. Or well so she thought. Riley had been complaining at her about emergency bags and weapons in the closet So Evie had found this time to sort things. She'd sorted most her weapons into 'keep at the council' 'emergency bag' and 'store away'. She'd been sorting stakes into different piles. She'd never quite realised how many she had until now. But that was when the front door open.
Giggling slightly Evie stood up and turned towards the door. "I finally did as I was........" She stopped, noticing a mystery blonde with her fiancée. Evie's first instinct had been confusion but then all of a sudden her head was consumed with worry at the fact her ENTIRE living room was filled with weapons. Riley rather calmly introduced the pair and Evie smiled at Lisa. "Nice to meet you.." She said before Riley offered Lisa a drink and popped off to the kitchen. Meanwhile Evie was left to try and think of some kind of excuse for the weaponary.
Quite a few excuses popped into Evie's head and she was about to speak when Lisa had abruptly come out with 'slayer'. Evie knew for a fact if that was why Riley had bought her here a) he'd have said and b) she wouldn't have been so questioning. Evie took a step back and moved down slightly grabbing a stake and holding it up threateningly. "What are you and what do you want??" She asked immediately. She wasn't holding back and if this girl had an innocent reason then all she had to do was state it.

Riley had left the room and yes Lisa had quiet bluntly said slayer which would leave anyone wondering, Evie had jumped up and held a stake threatening Lisa but all Lisa could do was laugh. It was so obvious that Evie was a slayer as she asked asked what she was and what she wanted. “Maybe I’m just dreaming now” she said rubbing her hands across her face. She took the chance to sit down and sat on the edge of a chair Evie was still stood there with the stake raised so Lisa thought that it was finally time to tell the truth “I am a slayer” she sighed as she waited for Evie’s reaction. Hopefully now she would at least put the stake down.
“I’m guessing he knows about you” she said her head nodding to the door which Riley had left. “Like Riley said I need help.” she decided that maybe it was best to start from the beginning and maybe now “I couldn’t tell him the truth though, I had no idea he would know about this sort of stuff, i mean anyone who comes out saying they were a slayer and had just fought off a orange demon would come off as completely crazy right?” and crazy was something Lisa was far from, she knew the truths of what went bump in the night. She had fought off enough of them
As Lisa sat there thinking she realised that if there was slayers there must be a watchers council full of watchers who would know Buffy. Evie might even know her by name. “Have you heard of Buffy summers?” she asked thinking that that would be a name most slayers knew. “She lives in misery now, head of the watchers council there and well I was her right hand girl I guess.” All Lisa could do was talk, tell Evie what had happened and she may have been of great use in getting Lisa back to Misery. “I had a look up on the library’s computer but there was no sign of such a place, which leaves me thinking that the demon has transported me into some other dimension. All I want is to get back there.” she finished looking up at Evie with almost a plea for help in her eyes hoping that she would understand. “I told your fiancée i had gotten into a fight and had a bit of memory loss” she laughed a little thinking how Riley had believed her, but who wouldn’t with the state she looked all covered in bruises.

Riley had went off to the kitchen to get her something to drink, and left Evie alone with her which may have been a dumb idea really seeing as here is all them weapon's out there and he should have stayed and maybe made an excuse hopefully he won't return and Lisa had fled the house thinking she was going to be killed and ring the cops. Like a bunch of loons with tons of weaponry live there and need to be tucked away in a padded cell for having them.
"Evie, do you want anything?" he called from the kitchen where he was making Lisa a drink. He should have asked Evie before he left he felt like an royal twit for not asking her while he was in there. At least he had now. He waited for her to answer before bring out the drinks. "Do you ladies want anything to eat?" he called. He couldn't cook, but could make sandwiches at least.
While he was in there awaiting answers he got all the stuff out for coffee and started brewing a fresh pot. Coffee was such a life saver. Someone would say he needed a coffee iv drip. He had no idea what was going on in there. Riley had gathered the drinks and some snacks and had walked back into the living room. He had missed Lisa's whole explanation, but seen her now sitting on the chair with a stake pointed at her and he was at a loss of words for a moment and never ever had he pictured this in his head as a possible out come. "Evie" he called. "What are you doing? Why are you holding a stake at her?" panic and worry surely could be noticeable in his voice what was she doing. He didn't invite a vampire in did he?
He didn't hear she too is a slayer and that she was from somewhere else and a demon sent her ere. He hadn't the faintest idea of what was going on. So it looked to him as if his fiancee was going to kill her which meant he had to of fucked up and let some demon son of a bitch in the house and vampires he learned had to be invited in. He was freaking out here, and dropped the drinks on the floor he was so shocked at the scene before him. They crashed to the floor and made a big crash... "shit" he murmured under his breath as it pulled him out of his daze of being in shock... "Would anyone care to explain to me what is going on here?"

Evie couldn't quite believe her ears. Really what were the chances Riley would find another slayer just walking the streets? Evie knew Lisa wanted her to lower the stake but she hoped if Lisa was who she said she was she'd understand Evie's slight reluctance to lower the stake. She was still new at this, and still suspicious of everyone and everything. She had tried to explain that she didn't know Riley knew and that she couldn't just tell him. She totally understood and so she nodded gently at that but she still wasn't 100% about this whole thing.
Evie had been asked if she knew of Buffy Summers. Of course she had, everyone had, including most if not all of the underworld so that still didn't mean Evie could trust her. Lisa continued to explain more about her and Evie had frowned but she hadn't had a chance to say or do anything before Riley came in and started telling her off for holding a stake at the poor girl. Evie pulled a face knowing she was sooooo in trouble. He'd dropped everything on he floor and Evie put down the stake and moved to pick everything up.
Evie put everything on the table and edged Riley into a seat on the sofa. She then sat on the arm beside him and faced Lisa. "Lisa's a slayer... " Evie had a gut feeling she could believe Lisa and if her watcher taught her anything before his death it was to trust her instincts. "Buffy Summer's is currently based in Cleveland Ohio. I can honestly say I have NEVER heard of Misery Valley, or you... I'm sorry!" Evie looked at Riley. "She thinks she's been stolen away from her home and wants to get back there... "
Evie wasn't too sure HOW she was going to be able to do so but she was determined to find a way. "Are you okay? Any injuries or anything? If so we can patch you up, probably give you a chance to catch your breath... And then we can go to the council... We can go tonight or tomorrow, it's totally up to you... " Evie stopped herself and looked at the floor suddenly going shy. "Sorry.. You're more advanced than me, I should probably be taking the orders from you." She said, running her hands over her hands nervously. This was so a first for her.

Lisa had spoke so fast she wasn’t so sure if Evie had understood it all, well one thing was sure, she still hadn’t lowered the stake as riley came back into the room. Lisa glanced at Riley then back at Evie and then heard a crash as she looked back to see that Riley had dropped the tray and Evie was already there picking it up for him. Lisa felt a little uncomfortable as she sat there and began to pay attention to her hands, her knuckles were slightly covered in dried up blood from where she had cut them punching the demon she had been fighting a few hours ago.
As Evie spoke again Lisa looked up at her she had moved herself and Riley into a chair and explained to him that Lisa too was a slayer but then as she spoke to Lisa again she told her something that she wasn’t expecting “Buffy’s in Cleveland?” she repeated in a low voice more to herself than Evie. Lisa rubbed her head as she heard that Evie had never heard of Misery or her. It was only less than 24 hours ago that Lisa had been sat with Buffy in her office finishing off some paperwork about the new demon she had gone after. As Evie spoke to Riley again Lisa began to feel a little bit agitated “I wasn’t stolen! Like I said, I was fighting a demon, I don’t know what kind it was but when I punched a gem it had on its chest I thought I’d killed it” she sighed and then began again raising her voice a little more than she should have “but instead all this black good came pouring out and it covered me, one minute I was choking on it the next it was gone... and I was laid next to the demon on the outskirts of a park here.”
She got her breath back and realised that she shouldn’t have took out her anger on Evie, if someone came to her with the problem she had Lisa would think that they was crazy. “I’m sorry it’s just...” she looked down at her hands again which Evie must of noticed because she asked if she was ok. “I will be ok” she half smiled as she looked back up at Evie hoping she would understand why she seemed a little angry. It wasn’t Lisa’s nature at all to get angry usually she was a very placid person and it took a lot to piss her off. Then Evie stopped and what she came out with next made Lisa chuckle. “I’ve been doing this for just over 2 years and managed to get thrown into what I think is a whole different world by a slimly demon, I wouldn’t say I’m more advanced now, just stupid for not listening to Buffy”
Lisa was Buffy’s second in command for a reason but at the minute she didn’t see what that reason was, she couldn’t beat this, well whatever the hell this was. There was no way she was going to be able to get back to her own world without help. “At the moment I’m the one who needs your help so you give me your orders” Lisa could give orders she was used to giving the orders Buffy told her to give to the slayers by now but she could also take them and right now she would take any that got her back home. “Do you think the council will be able to help me?”

Riley had came and had been flabbergasted that Evie was holding a stake to Lisa and wondering what the hell was going on seeing as well she is a guest and here he was thinking he made a boo boo and that she could be something he shouldn't let in. It was odd and if that was the case could explain why she was bruised up and dirty..Evie had him sit and then he was told she is a slayer too like she is and then there was a whole explanation about Buffy an Demon and just stuff that flew over his head. Evie mentioned the two of them could go to the watchers council and figure out what is going on which that would be a good idea really..
Evie had picked up the mess and all he made as he processed she was a slayer too and Evie had been rambling what they could do and about orders and who is more superior and all and that she shouldn't be barking orders at Lisa, and she should be following Lisa's orders.. Riley just sat there and scratched his head and figured it best he be quiet and let them figure it out.. "I should get your drink...and if you want to clean yourself up I am sure Evie could help you with that. Right Evie?" Riley asked as he got back up and heading to the kitchen to get her another drink. He found it odd she was a slayer to and could be ripped from another universe that was a little much for his head to process right now..He needed a little time to think on things. What if the council wouldn't help her? What if her parents weren't here? What would they do?

Evie had felt so small next to a slayer who was clearly so advanced. She'd been told many times she had a natural talent for slaying. Apparently it was rare for a slayer to take like "duck to water" and maybe this was why she was being pushed so hard but god she wished she wasn't being. Evie just wasn't used to taking any kind of charge. Lisa had asked if Evie thought the council would help. "I honestly don't know... I have my issues with them ya know.... but if nothing else there's got to be books on this sort of stuff... right?"
Evie got up and scanned the room, her eyes laying on the clock and she nodded. "Okay follow me." She said heading out of the room and up the stairs. "Would you like to shower or anything?" She asked pointing at the bathroom door. "Shower, bath, toilet, sink etc... all in there..." She said, pointing more as she walked down the hall. "Mine and Riley's room, stairs, Deklan's room, he's Riley's big brother, and this is the spare room." Evie flung the door open, something she hadn't dared do with Deklan's. She then headed to the airing cupboard and pulled out some spare towels and threw them in on the bed.
"Feel free to use this room for.. anything... If you go into Riley's room, my wardrobes the one with Bee on each door in black wooden blocks.... Feel free to borrow anything... I'm just going to sort some stuff out with Riley, call my watcher and then we can go... I'll just be downstairs!" She said, leaving Lisa to it and running down stairs. She walked up to Riley and just wrapped her arms around him. "You remember, back in that crypt, you almost got killed helping me out.. this was one demon and this girl is in a whole new world... Crap like that... That's our job... thats what we do every freaking day... And you're stuck whack bang in the middle of it."
Evie's arms loosened and she walked across the Kitchen and grabbed a bottle of vodka, it was probably a bad time but it was that or cry. Pulling the top off she took one good mouthful, swallowing it down quickly, her eyes closed trying not to cry. She replaced the bottle onto the worktop, the sound of the glass and the granite meeting making an obvious clink. "The council... They gotta help us somehow... I gotta keep you safe Riley because I'm not dealing with something hurting you... ever... You got options... There's like a million people that can teach you to fight.... Or books... I know you're all about computers but......"
All of a sudden something dawned on Everton, something that hadn't before. "Magic..." She said, seeming a little excited. "I mean like... obviously it's up to you but... I just want you safe and want you to feel safe and the coven at the council is.. amazing!! We have a whole library just dedicated to magic and then a whole archive of supplies...... I could be being silly here and you'll tell me straight "Evie i wanna stay home and eat popcorn and watch movies forever" but just know you have options!"
Maybe part of her was hoping he'd go with her on this, even just for a second, it'd make her life so much easier just to know he was safe. She was going to spend her life helping others with their problems, and right now she was realizing that Riley could get stuck in the middle of this stuff without even knowing it. Something had to be done right?
