Brush, brush, brush.
Her hairbrush was moved in all sorts of directions, until her hair looked half decent. It was straight, all the way down to her shoulders. Moving her hands, she tied it up into a ponytail and picked up a pair of black shades, sliding them onto her belt. Picking up a crimson lipstick, Mikayla Winters ran it over her lips before making kissy noises and walking out, pulling her bathroom door closed as she went. After about ten minutes, Mikayla left her apartment and headed out to a local bar.
She simply passed through the entrance, and walked over to the bar. She swung her legs round and sat on a stool, ordering a vodka from the bartender. Even though she looked young, she wasn't. Eighteen wasn't that young, was it? Nope, not to her anyway. Mikayla drummed her fingers along the surface of the bar and looked around absent mindedly, was she just going to sit there and wash away any troubles she may have with alcohol? No..she had at least more class than that.
Then what was she going to do? She had no real friends that she could call. It was times like these she wished she could just stop being the slayer and have real friends, or..just friends. Yup, she was sort of a loner in London. She had no friends, she knew nobody else who was a supernatural creature or somebody to do with the supernatural, like say..another slayer. Heck, she wondered if there even were any other slayers in London. She hoped to hell that she wasn't, because if she had to rid the city of evil, it'd be a hell of a job.
She was sort of curious though. Things like werewolves and witches, did they really exist? Her vodka finally came and she shook her head, taking it and tipping the bottle, letting the liquid soar down her throat. She gulped it down and sighed. No more thinking about slayer duties or anything of the sort, tonight she was just going to have fun.

It was starting to get toward evening time in the day. Jesse had work today. He gone to school all day long studying. After that he had go back to his apartment in the city. He had spent some time getting his homework done for his shift started that evening around five o’clock. As the time approached Jesse got dressed and ready to leave.
He pulled on a pair of black jeans and a black t-shirt to go along with it. His uniform at the bar was pure black everything. Which accented his lightly tanned skin and blonde hair all the way around. It was a perfect match for him. It made the ladies tip a bit more for it brought out his natural good looks even more.
He looked about his apartment, trying to remember if he was forgetting anything. He felt for his keys, cell phone, i-pod, and wallet. He then headed over to the plants that were lined about his apartment. He was a plant person really. It was in his DNA he was an earth elemental after all. He walked past the plants exerting the power that he had over them. He poured water and nurtured them a bit.
He then left the apartment and headed toward his work. It was not like he especially needed to work. He was not broke in any means at all. When his entire family was murdered by supernatural beings he was the sole inheritor of the family’s houses, money, cars and even business. Each one of the family members controlled one of the elements. They used it to help the world out and then supported themselves. Such as a nursery for plants.
He then headed down to the bar where he worked and walked in. Once he walked into the bar he walked up the owner to clock in. Though his boss looked at him confused. It turned out that it was his day off and he had forgotten it. His boss could see that the young man seemed a bit spaced at the moment.
The man offered to get him a complementary drink so that he could cut loose and have a bit of fun. He headed over to the bar and took a seat. He looked at the girl next to him. She had the same look in her eye as he did. The kind that needed to cut loose a bit just like he did.
He looked at her and then swung back the drink he had just received and then decided to comment.
You look as if you need a break and can use a listening ear. What going on.

She put her vodka bottle down and and looked around, more people filing into the club as time went on. It was becoming pretty packed, just great. More people were hounding the bartenders and anybody who tried to push Mikayla out of the way got pushed back onto their arses. Nobody pushed her around, nobody. It was then when a decently attractive guy came over. She looked away and sipped her drink again.
Mikayla could tell that he had looked at her, she just had a feeling. She bit her bottom lip and smirked, if he was just a womanizer, boy would she have fun with him, but then again - as her eyes moved across to look him over - he didn't seem the womanizing type. You look as if you need a break and can use a listening ear. What going on A small laugh came from her. "Yeah, which is sort of why I came here, just to relax and have a good time."
She brought the bottle back to her lips and tipped it down. She gulped and turned her body around slightly so that she could look at him. "If I told you what was going on in my life, you wouldn't believe me....work, I guess. Yeah, my work is a real pain sometimes" As much as she'd of liked to say it wasn't, it was. It was like all slayers were mean't to do was to slay. Some watchers worked too hard and expected them to be something like the terminator.
Now that'd be cool. A robot slayer, sent back from the future to end an apocalypse or something really disasturous that could damage the universe and blah blah blah. "Anyway enough of me, how's your life?" The way she was speaking to him, it was like they already knew each other. Weird. "Oh, I'm Mickey by the way" Not that it really mattered what her name was, whoever wanted her name got it one way or another, whether it was they stalked her, or if she was just walking through the streets and some angry shopkeeper screamed her name.
Lots of people knew Mickey around London, especially the police. She had had quite a few run in's with them, but it didn't phase her at all, she continued to live her life normally. "And yours?"

"Yeah, which is sort of why I came here, just to relax and have a good time."
With that laugh and the sentence he perked a small smile that appeared upon his face. He knew exactly how she felt. He never really had much or a reason let alone the time or feeling to get out really. He was always feeling guilty about being the last survivor of his family let alone school all day long and work all night long. It made his life just all the more busy. With little time to get out he had decided to take the unexpected night off to party a bit since he was here already after all.
I know the feeling trust me. You have no idea really.
"If I told you what was going on in my life, you wouldn't believe me....work, I guess. Yeah, my work is a real pain sometimes"
He chuckled at that, it seemed as if he had quite a bit in common with the girl more they talked. One they were both just out for a good time now. Two they both had lives that no one believe. Well he did not know how bad her case was. He did not know she was one of the fabled slayers. Though she had no idea either that he was one of the most powerful humans around. As he was an elemental, a special species. He had power over the element of earth after all and that was what made him very dangerous. Though he was keeping that on the down low at the moment out of fear as he was the last elemental around.
Trust me you are not alone in the world. Tons know that feeling.
He definitely knew the feeling with his elemental abilities, His job as a bartender and his school work he had quite the life that was the pain in a rear. Truthfully sometimes he wished he could just get it off of his chest. After all he had not the luxury to have a friend who he could depend upon to speak his mind with, or share what he was feeling. He had it all bottled up which made his life even worse.
"Anyway enough of me, how's your life?"
He smiled she was asking about one huge can of worms. One that most people could not even imagine of getting themselves into. If they had a life like his they would be more than just guilty but feel like locking themselves into an mental hospital. He was not exactly a the most put together when it comes to mental state due to all the guilt he felt for being the last member of his family.
Lets just say this, you would not believe me if I… told you. In fact you may lock yourself in a metal hospital if you had an idea.
"Oh, I'm Mickey by the way"
He rolled the name around in his mind a bit. It was a unique name. He kind of liked it in a way. Unique, different, but still rather nice. He liked it that was for sure.
Nice name, like it, it is a pleasure to meet you.
"And yours?"
He looked at her and then could not believe who impolite he was to her. She had offered her name to him and he did not even think of returning the favor. He could have knocked himself in the head with a tree branch just then. He made sure though to keep his emotions in check. He was beginning to cheer up a bit. Which if he was not careful would cause every plant based object grow in strength and sprout. Even the dead plants would respond.
I am so sorry for being so rude, not like me I swear. You can call me Jesse.
