Walking amongst the "normal" people and searching for a place to shop for clothes, Steven was simply staying cool and minding his own business as he paroused the confines of the Mall, gazing at the different types of shoppes and goods that could be purchased from them. "I need some shirts and couple pairs of jeans...You'd figure with the amount of time being a werewolf that I'd learn to not ruin so many clothes during a transformation." The man thought to himself, running a hand through his hair. It was all very confusing and mindboggling to a male such as himself, with all the hustle and bustle going on in the place, he simply looked like a lost puppy until he found a large clothing outlet. "Bingo..." He thought with a big grin, walking inside to take a peek around.
Browsing first through the shirts, Steven found his taste in darker tees, mostly black, as he preferred dressing in darker colors, that didn't mean that sometimes he didn't mind wearing other things. After picking up a couple t-shirts, one black with an AC/DC logo on it, another with a dragon on the front, and a white tee with a wolf howling at the moon. "Thats a cool looking one..." He muttered out loud, to no one in particular.
After going through the t-shirts, the werewolf slid over to look for jeans, preferrably blue jeans. Shuffling through different shelves of the denim jeans, the man took out a couple pair and grinned in approval. "These look promising..." He thought to himself, grabbing up the clothing and moving in a hurry to the dressing room, crossing a few aisles before a female caught the werewolf's eye. "Whoa..." His mind screamed, causing him to stop and double take for a moment, just before shaking his head and moving on, making sure that he could keep track of her after trying his clothes on.(I hope this works, if not just message me and let me know, and we'll change it or something)

This has gone on so long I realize that I need, Something good to rely on... Lisa shouldn’t have been in here, she was supposed to be out looking for a job but the only job she had ever had was fighting the forces of evil. Riley had sat down with her the night before and helped her right out a CV but under previous work there was just a blank space. She had been in a number of shops and coffee houses around the mall giving out her C.V’s and each time the managers actually took a glance at them they pointed out that she had no previous experience. Who would have thought you might actually need experience to make a cup of coffee? Lisa was desperate, the Davenports had been so good to her and she wanted a job to bring in a bit of money so she could at least pay her way around the house.
Somehow she had ended up giving out almost all of her C.V’s early on and now she was window shopping. Looking into a window she saw a jacket that she really liked the look of so had decided to go in and take a proper look. Looking at the price tag it told her it was £40, something which a couple of months ago Lisa wouldn’t have even thought twice about £40 would have felt like a right barging for her but now she seemed shocked that something could be so expensive. Maybe because Lisa didn’t even have 40p to her name she sighed thinking about how if she was back home she would have bought one in each colour and paid on her daddies credit card. She was so grateful for Evie who had let her carry on borrowing her clothes without having a care even when they got a little wrecked from patrolling Evie still smiled and said that it never mattered although Lisa could see the look in her eye that told her she had just ruined something Evie had loved.
She put the jacket back on the rail promising herself she would get it as soon as she got a job and that she would also treat Evie to a few new clothes to thank her. Things were not looking so great on the job front but she would get one if it was the last thing she did, she would find a way to make some money and pay her way. The Davenports were however so understanding bur she hated that so far she hadn’t been able too.
Turning around to look at some combats, she noticed someone looking at her from the corner of her eye; well he had done a double take making Lisa smile a little. It was the first time in this world that someone had took notice of her other than because she was black and blue from fighting the demon that put her here. She watched as he moved on and tried not to take too much notice of him but she couldn’t help but check him out as he walked into the changing rooms.
Even though she couldn’t afford anything Lisa decided to browse a little more in the shop and admitted to herself that half of it was because of the guy she had seen and the fact she wanted to get another look as he came back out after trying his clothes on he looked like the type of guy Lisa usually went for; a rugged manly man. Maybe it was because she was a slayer that she went for guys like that? She didn’t like the look of a pretty guy who you could obviously tell never even had a tenth of the strength she did.

Slightly grinning back at her for a moment, it took a moment of realizing that he probably made himself the most obvious person in the shop, Steven shook his head and moved quickly into the dressing rooms, putting the shirts and both pair of jeans on the seat next to him as he plopped down to think to himself. "Way to go moron, the girl probably thinks I'm after her or something, or some crazy guy." His mind screamed. Steven then sat back and leaned against the wall to address another thought. "Why'd she smile then Steve? Maybe she didn't mind the attention, curse these wandering eyes."
While playing out this mental arguement in his head, the werewolf absentmindedly slipped on one of the pair of jeans and changed out of his plain black tee to slide on the AC/DC shirt. "I need a mirror...and its outside." He grumbled to himself, taking a small breath. "Well, these fit, so now just to check this out." The lycan whispered, opening up the door slowly, peeking around slightly before emerging from the dressing room, slowly moving before a mirror to look at the new shirt and jeans he adorned.
"Not too bad." Steven said lowly to himself, turning slightly to check the blue jeans and how they fit. It felt nice to be able to get to a store for some new threads, considering the mileage on some of his jeans wore some pretty bad holes in their lifespan, but thats not saying he didn't have his share of decent clothes as well. Nodding slightly to himself, Steven knew he'd buy the clothes, having enough from his savings he brought along with him from the U.S., although soon he'd need to be looking for another way to support himself with money, as he was looking for a decent apartment around the city.
"I think these'll work." He grumbled again, turning to head back to the dressing room, before his eyes scanned around again and caught sight of the female again. "Hmm, there she is again, apparently I didn't scare her off, so that rules out the part of her thinking I'm crazy." Steven thought to himself. "Aww hell, I'm gonna talk to her, I've got nothing to lose, and maybe she'll tell me what she thinks of these clothes." Steven thought to himself.
Grinning slightly as he went and grabbed his original and new clothes from the dressing room, Steve slowly loped towards the girl and as he looked her over, she looked like someone who could really hold her own, like someone one you wouldn't want to piss off as was the case with most women in the first place, but as the girl stood out slightly from a normal human he had a strange feeling as he approached, but dismissed it and chalked it up to nervousness as his brain screamed at him to just do it and talk to her.
"Hey there..." Steven said lowly, running a hand through his hair before chuckling lightly, chuckling slightly as he had the guts to ask a stranger on their opinion, let alone a nice looking girl. "Say could I ask for an opinion on these clothes? What do you think?" He asked, a sincere grin on his face as he tried to start some small talk with Lisa, looking over her and the clothes she had on, liking the jeans and hoodie she wore.
The young man hoped Lisa would at least communicate with him a little bit without thinking he was weird or clearly not a good guy, as he simply couldn't help but talk and look over her at the moment.(Sorry about taking forever to reply, I had a horrible weekend and was sick in bed...hope you like the post though XD)

This has gone on so long I realize that I need, Something good to rely on... Lisa stood there looking at another pair of combats, what was she doing? If she was back at home she would never be stood like an idiot just waiting to check out a guy she liked the look of. Maybe it was because she was in a new world and felt that apart from those in the Davenport house she had no one. She had never really been without friends before, even when she moved because of her slayer duties she felt like she fitted in because she had something in common with the girls that where been moved with her and could easily talk to them and make friends. Now the only slayer she knew was Evie and it was just too hard for her to go out and meet new people due to the fact she had spent so much time looking for a way home and patrolling.
The davenports where great and Lisa loved spending time with them but there were times when she felt left out and alone. They were all so close well of course they were, there all family and when they spoke about the old times all Lisa could do was sit there and laugh along not really having anything to add to the conversation but the more time she spent with them the easier it was and she loved spending time with Riley, Evie and Alyssa who was Riley’s mums niece and had just joined the house hold. Lisa hadn’t really had a chance to talk to Deklan or misty properly yet. Deklan was always out working; he really was a workaholic and Misty well was just never home. Then there was there mum who was just fantastic in Lisa’s eyes, she had been so wonderful letting her stay in her home with no questions asked.
Off in her own little world Lisa jumped as someone spoke to her turning she saw the guy who she had been waiting for. Stunned a little that he had came over and spoke she smiled and quickly replied “Oh umm... sorry I was in my own little world“ she realised that she must have been stood there looking at those combats for a while. You idiot she thought to herself He’s not going to think much of you now Lisa often went into her own little world when she was spending time alone, it really wasn’t one of her strengths. But the man didn’t seem to mind he just chuckled a little and asked for her opinion on the clothes he had chosen “You... they! Look great“ she smiled wanting to kick herself for what a pratt she was being, what had got into her? She wasn’t usually like this around the opposite sex; she could usually keep her cool. “Good choice of T-shirt. You a fan?“ she asked trying to keep the conversation afloat. One thing Lisa knew about and could talk about all day was music. She loved music and could talk about it all day. She listened to anything and everything she could and was a fan of AC/DC herself so knew it would be a great chance to talk to Steven and maybe even get his number.

Now standing before Lisa, Steve lightly smiled and took her scent in slightly as he stood and waited for her to respond. "I can't quite put my finger on her, she seems so normal, yet so different." He thought to himself, just before she answered back to him. "Oh, I'm sorry if I startled you, I just wondered if I could get a female's opinion on the clothes." He said with a small chuckle, obviously knowing this was a total lie, as their eyes had met once and he was curious about seeing what she was about.
Being a werewolf, Steven had a pretty good handle on sensing things that some normal humans had no clue about. He could tell she was a little worked up and nervous that he approached her, but he was a laid back soul for the most part and often didn't start anything unless the situation called for it. He also really didn't have many friends, mostly because he figured it was safer that way, to slightly distance those that he cared about away from him, but it was a horrible thing to always feel alone, so talking to Lisa was something that he found easy to do and somewhat interesting. "You really think these look good on me huh?" Steve asked with a bright grin. "Thanks, I'm gonna snag these before someone else does then."
The next question was something that deeply hit Steven, the topic of music. By all means, to say that he couldn't live without music would be an understatement, as it was a huge part of his life, he pondered to himself that he might have already gone crazy if he didn't have something blaring in his ears at any point of the day, and in fact, he often settled down to sleep with some type of music rolling from his mp3 or radio.
"Oh yes, I'm a huge fan, I think my favorite album has to be Back in Black, Classic Rock is kinda my thing." He replied, crossing his arms and instantly telling himself that he was going to enjoy talking to this girl as it was apparent they had hit on something in common. "Thats not saying that I don't listen to Modern Rock, Indie Rock, Punk Rock and some Pop stuff as well." Steven added, still smiling lightly at her.
"Well then, I take it that you're a fan too then? Or a avid music listener yourself huh?" The male asked. "I feel like such a doofus talking on and on about all this stuff and I haven't even introduced myself, I'm Steven." He said with a big grin.

This has gone on so long I realize that I need, Something good to rely on... Lisa chuckled “Don’t worry about it, I have to admit I’ve been a little jumpy a lot recently” it was true she had been, Lisa didn’t know what had gotten into her recently. Maybe it was the fact she wasn’t used to being out of her comfort zone in the new world she was living in. Steven had said that he thought he needed a female’s opinion on the clothes he had chosen and Lisa had told him they look great and how she especially loved the T-shirt. Again he asked about the clothes and Lisa reassured him that they were fine, when he gave her a big grin she gave him one back “You better hurry up then, we can’t have someone coming in after that T-shirt and them ruining the whole Rock effect, when it looks perfect on you.”
Lisa grinned a little to herself when she saw the expression on Stevens face as she brought up the topic of music, she could tell by his look that he possibly loved it as much as she did. She stood and listened with a smile on her face as he spoke about it; secretly she was eyeing him up and down liking what she saw. She wondered if she was making it obvious she was attracted to him. His hair came just above his shoulders and was slightly ruffled, his eyes where dark and Lisa started to wonder what his body underneath the T-shirt he was wearing looked like... Lisa realised she was zoning out and quickly shook her head to snap out of it and hear that Steven’s favourite AC/DC album was Back in Black. She tilted her head to the side a little and smiled thinking about it “You shook me all night long has to be one of my favourite songs, but I would say I prefer Highway to Hell for my favourite album” Steven explained that Rock was his thing but he did enjoy listening to other Genre’s too which was great because Lisa would listen to anything and everything; the only type of Genre she wasn’t really into was classical because she couldn’t really understand what the meaning of the songs were. “Me I just love anything that has lyrics and any lyrics that i can relate too in a song makes it amazing for me”
“A fan and an avid music listener” she smiled “and I’m Lisa” she replied with a chuckle when Steven introduced himself. Lisa wanted to ask him what he was doing next or even maybe later and if he’d like to grab a quick drink once he had purchased his new clothes but stopped herself. She had never asked a guy out before and wasn’t going to start now... Besides with her life would she even really be able to have a guy in it? ‘Oh I am being pathetic!’ she thought to herself, she could have friends right? What would be wrong at having a male friend? She’s had plenty in her time but there was still that voice inside her head telling her that she was attracted to Steven.

"Oh yeah, thats a sure classic from them, I like it as well." Steve muttered, pondering over their conversation over AC/DC. "Great Album too, Nice choice." He added, smirking slightly. He looked her over slightly and wondered why she looked slightly beat up, the thought staying in his head for a moment and then leaving it as he wondered why no one would protect a woman such as her. "Its a pleasure to meet you Lisa." He said with a nod and small grin.
Steven nodded in understanding as Lisa mentioned the jumpiness she'd been fighting lately, as he knew and understood how that feeling could be, even for a werewolf. He was now happy with his decision to talk to the female and couldn't help but grin slightly as he conversed with her about the choices in music that the two were interested in. "Oh, yeah...you're right, I'd better go get these rung up quickly then." He said with a small laugh, as Lisa was urging him on to purchase the clothing, the werewolf nearly forgetting that he needed to purchase them as his mind was on her.
Little did Steven know that as he rambled on about his favorite music that Lisa simply stood before him and gazed at his body, and simply grinned as he caught her eyes looking at his. There was just something about Lisa that drove him slightly crazy, in a good way as he couldn't stop wondering about what she was really like, knowing that he really needed to pull her aside and grab a drink or something to eat with her before letting her out of his sights.
Steven paused for a moment as he turned to pick up the clothing and smiled, "I'll be right back then." He said with a small smile, walking back to the dressing room and getting his old clothes, putting them on and moving back to the register with the new clothes in hand, chuckling lowly to himself as he looked back to Lisa, who he couldn't stop turning and catching a glimpse of. "Easy Steven, don't freak the girl out, even though within five minutes of meeting her, you can't look away, try to restrain yourself at least." He thought to himself, shaking his head just before purchasing the clothes with some of his savings.
"Oh now come on...I'm not being ridiculous, there is nothing against liking a girl and being their friend." The other half of Steven's mind argued. "That's it, I'm going to ask if she wants to sit and talk over a drink or something, and thats final...nothing wrong with that." He decided mentally. The werewolf couldn't shake the strange feeling however of being attracted to Lisa and smiled as he approached with the bag of newly purchased clothes, as he put on a new pair of jeans and slid his new AC/DC shirt back on, stuffing his old stuff into the bag.
"I'm back..." Steven said jokingly, sliding back over towards Lisa with a grin on his face. "So uhh...I'm just wondering, would you like to grab some lunch or something, I was just getting ready to head to the food court and wondered if you'd like to tag along, I can treat if you'd like." He said with a small chuckle. "That's only if you'd like to that is..."((I'm so sorry that this post took forever, I'll try and be a little more prompt with the responses as I'm liking these two already, but I was pulled around with errands and whatnot, just message me if there's something you need or junk like that...By the way, do you have any type of messenger Lisa?))

This has gone on so long I realize that I need, Something good to rely on... Lisa forgot she was in the middle of a clothing store as she chatted away to Steven, from first instincts Lisa thought he seemed like a nice guy but being a slayer Lisa knew not to trust first instincts, there was a lot of evil in the world. So far things were going well though, obviously he wasn’t a creature of the night being out in day light and all. Steven said it was a pleasure to meet her and gave a little grin which she returned. After they had finished their discussion on music Steven looked back at the clothes and said that he had better get them rung up. He told her he would be right back “Don’t worry I’ll be waiting” she smiled. Of course she would be waiting only a fool would walk off and let the opportunity of getting to know someone new pass by.
Lisa tried to stop herself sneaking glimpses of Steven but couldn’t help doing so; every time she caught his eye she smiled a little and quickly looked down at her shoes she felt a little bit awkward at it but actually liked the feeling. It was a feeling she hadn’t felt in a long time. She wondered what he did for a living and how long he had been here in London. Maybe he could show her around town a bit more. She thought about what she would tell him if he asked the questions she wanted to ask him, she couldn’t tell him she came here from an alternative dimension and was a slayer. That would send him running for sure.
Steven moved back over to her and Lisa chuckled as he felt the need to say he was back. The grin on his face seemed so sincere and his eyes well they were just WOW! Blue eyes always attracted Lisa and his were to die for. Steven mentioned going to the food court for lunch and Lisa was just about to give up and say she had to get back home when he asked if she would join him and it would be his treat. Lisa couldn’t hide the grin that came over her face as she told him she would love too. “You all done with your shopping then?” she asked leading the way out of the store.
Lisa took her time in walking taking slow steps so that she could have a good conversation with Steven as they walked there. The food court wasn’t far and Lisa wanted to make the most out of the time she was spending with him. “So are you from around here?” she asked.

The boy simply felt excited when Lisa agreed to have lunch with him, thinking that maybe she had much better things to do than hang out with him, but just like before, he was pleasantly surprised and happy that she decided to tag along. Steven had a lot of questions for her, but wasn't sure where to start, like if she was from around here, and what she liked to do, plus maybe a little more about music. All sorts of inquiries floated about the werewolf's mind until she posed the first question about him being done with his shopping.
"Oh, yeah...I'm finished, I'm not a big shopper, I just get what I need to get and move on...unless I'm shopping for something special, a gift...or something like that." Steve said with a small chuckle. Looking Lisa over again, Steven's mind was racing as he couldn't get over how beautiful she looked, despite the small bruises she had, as it showed that she was more than likely tougher than most girls he'd met before.
The two had then suddenly slowed to a slow walk together, a smile still on Steven's face as Lisa posed her next question to him, about if he was from around here or not. "Well, I just moved here a few weeks ago really, I'm a California guy, but I have a good grasp for where the important places are in the city." He replied, continuing to walk along with her as he thought about a question back to her.
"What about you? Are you from London?" He asked curiously as they arrived at the food court. Steven quickly spotted out an open table and led the two of them to it, pulling out her chair to sit her down. "What kind of stuff are you into? Any hobbies?" He asked, not sure if that was the appropriate follow up question, but going to it anyways.
"Err, and what would you like to have for lunch? I'm kinda eyeing that burger there..." He said with a snicker. still showing his joking side.

This has gone on so long I realize that I need, Something good to rely on... As she and Steven spoke their way to the food court Lisa couldn’t help but feel like she fitted in well into this world; she was meeting people who she could speak to about other things than the world of slayers. Back home all she had was being a slayer, the people she spent time with were all slayers that only really spoke about training, patrolling or creatures they had killed. Now she had met people that she could have a real conversation with about something more than being a slayer.
Steven told her that he wasn’t a big shopper and Lisa nodded “Me neither, I only came out to hand out some C.V’s, and decided to do a bit of window shopping to pass the time by.” Lisa could tell that Steven was looking at her again and turned her head as if to look into another shop window as his eyes lingered on her bruises over her face. They had cleared up a lot since the fight she had had with the demon but still could be seen which was unusual as Lisa generally healed fast. She had expected them to be gone after a couple of days but there they were as a reminder of the fight which took her from her own world. Make up was something that Evie had suggested to cover them but Lisa didn’t have time to put any over them this morning.
Lisa asked Steven where he was from and he explained that he had just moved to London a couple of weeks ago from California. He then went on to ask her if she was from London “Chester” she replied not wanting to bring up the fact she too lived in America for awhile as it was from a town he would think she had made up “It’s up north” she explained. Lisa hadn’t been to Chester in almost two years and had been thinking about it a lot recently. While she was stuck here she could maybe go up there, maybe even find her parents. That’s if they existed in this world anyway.
As they arrived at the food court Steven lead her over to an empty table and pulled out a chair for her to sit down. She smiled slightly and thanked him looking him over again, at how ruggedly handsome he was, but how gentle and kind he seemed too. As she sat he asked her about what hobbies she had and Lisa had to think a little about that. Slaying was a hobby but she couldn’t say that and she had already told him she loved music. “Other than listening to music, I do like to work out. I haven’t been in London long either so I’m hoping I can find a good gym while I’m here.” Lisa hadn’t been training at all whilst she had been in London and it was something she did enjoy doing. She would have to go to the watchers council at some point and see if the gym was just as good as the one they had back in Misery. “I have to admit I do like my lazy days sat at home in front of the T.V or on the computer too though.” She grinned “What about you?”
Steven then went on to ask what Lisa would like for lunch and she turned her head in the direction he was looking as he told her he liked the look of the burger. “The burger does look good” she agreed. “I think I’ll have one of those too. So what brought you too London? Are you just visiting or sticking around?” she asked. TAGGED ! STEVEN LEE ADAMS LYRICS ! Together - Avril Lavigne WORDS ! 612 COMMENTS !
